Ok, I need some new tyres and probably get Toyos as they are pretty cheap (want to replace all 4) but I need to find somewhere (West London) to swap the tyres over for me. What kind of price am I looking at? Local Kwik-Fit said £10 per tyre and that includes balancing and valves.

Ok, it looks like my water bottle is leaking as everything I get into the car its empty, I believe this is a common problem and will be replaced under warranty? Does anyone know where the actual leak will be so I can take a look myself? Thx

Recently my 172 brakes have made a kind of scraping noise when appiled (even carefully) which Im assuming isnt right? I thought the mk2 had a dash light to indicate when pads need replacing etc? Any thoughts on why this noise is happening? Cars done 17,500 miles. Thanks.

I got 17.5k off my contis and that included a couple of track days. Did swap the fronts with rears after about 10k but unfortunately my nearside rear just gave up on my with a huge hole in the inside tyre wall :(

The original mk2 172 ignition coils have a known fault - i had this problem and forced renault to replace all 4 under warranty instead of just the fault one.

Dont worry, my 172 sits on my drive for a couple of weeks without getting fired up, always seems to start fine.

Think Ill still with the 172 for now, much prefer it...

They can be disabled following the same action for the lights. Ignition on (car not running) move wipers from off to 1st pos and back, repeat. Should hear a beep to indicate they are disabled - do it again to enable. If this doesnt work try off to 2nd pos twice.
