Yeah it was the #16. I think the pad is 5", and I think I put too much on. I took it off by hand, the machine was just moving it around, lol.

It's the only reason I bought it really. Needed a fast 5-door and it fitted the bill. Obviously the 3-door version looks better, but 5 is more practical. :approve:

Glad you said megs #16 cause thats what I've got! I think it was recommended by Rich about a year and a half ago, when I bought it, and sat in my garage unopened till last week :cool:

Yeah, was the morning of the Nurburgring 700 trip (last Fri). We met at Brands for our driver briefing.

Thanks to all those who helped me choose the products and offered advice on the actual PC'ing, especially Rich. Here are a couple of pics taken after the polish. Also, is it worth putting another layer of wax on in a few weeks or will it make no difference?

oh and Rich, you were right, the VW paint is really hard, proving difficult to get the swirl marks out, I'm just going to do as good a job I can for now and do it again in a few months.

I've done the bonnet. Now I need 2 hours of online PS3 playing to relax :D I've realised I'm too lazy for PC'ing! bubbles - I might leave the numberplates taped up for the speed cameras, lol, or maybe write my name in tape on the bonnet :)

I need to PC my car - 2 coats of polish and 1 of wax. Spending a bit of time on the 1st polish to get out swirl marks. Roughly how long will this take, including preparation (washing and taping black bits)? I have a golf mk4, it's not a Clio. Just need to know if I need 1 or 2 days off...

I've had my moneys worth from my PS3 already, just playing Resistance online. No other games have had a look in on my console, I'm bloody addicted to the online version! :) Someone better come and take it away before I get thrown out my house! :eek: However I do think the PS3 is too expensive...
