should have mentioned the car is a 197. There are no flats on the 197 ball socket it needs a tool which bites o to the socket

I had my car in today to have tie rods and wheel alignment done They didn't have the right tool to get the tie rods off and stilsons won't fit Anyone know a tool for the job? All the ones I have seen are about £75!

no one seems to post anything on the region section... apart from stuff about meetings at least.... looked at turbo pacs but dont think they have a rolling road anyone used PDTuning in boldon?

does anyone know of anywhere in or around the north east which does proper custom remapping? i want a proper rolling road set up. only places i can seem to find do generic maps like superchips etc.

ive got the pioneers 'perfect fit' speakers in the front and pioneer 1212i in the back. all fit in the standard mounts and are decent for the money

fitted this today. looke pretty good and brightens the interior a bit.

they are 130 as standard wondered if anyone had already fitted some and if so did they have to make a baffle

ive got some 165mm focal speakers kept from my old car. i was thinking about fitting them to my 197 i have pioneer speakers up front but want to upgrade the rears - the standard ones are 130mm will the 165 (6.5") speakers fit in the rear? cheers

they all do that i took the gove box out in mine the other day to sort out some rattles by sticking some draft extruder strip in various places.

im changing both tie rod ends and track rod ends on my 197 the tie rod is renault only part at £40 a side and i got track rod end from unipart for £16 a side (renault price £44 a side) i think the 182 uses the same tie rods and ends as a regular clio so you should be able to use andrew page or...

i tell myself it saves a bit of weight lol the conti 3's were on when i got the car. i cant fault them. awsome in the dry and very good in the wet. when its slimey/damp theyre now great but doubt many 'sport' tyres would be. i would say they were easily a match for the PE2's anyway

im pretty sure they do need fitting. think thats why the blue rubber which comes ready fitted to the spring (to stop stonechips etc) does not go down to the bottom coil. im well impressed with the ride too now. much more supple now.

yeah i fitted my eibachs this week and re used the OE rubbers. it stops the metal on metal contact which will rub the paint off and can make noises.

theyre 197 i know the 200 ones are meant to be uprated again but decided to go for 197 ones as they were avaialble at a bargain price and the eibach springs work well with them

got sorted in the end. they are listed as 'extreme add on pack' on the dealers system apparently bought the 4 shocks brand new from renault for a very resonable price (my local renault stealers wanted about £500 i think which made it more effective to buy coilovers). i wanted to keep the cup...

tried that and apparently there was about 3 different springs and 3 different shocks to choose from. is the 'extreme add on pack' a different name for the cup pack? the dealer mentioned that but he didnt know what it was

yeah i know but they still fit so would like to try and find the part numbers for them also

i have fitted a sony head unit and want to get an adapter harness to get the stalk controls working anyone know where i can get one? i can only find -2004 ones thanks
