no the lad who sold it didnt know what the cup pack was. i had just assumed it had the cup suspension done though as the wheels were grey. they were recently refurbed but he said they were that colour when he bought the car too. the 1st owner must have changed the colour.
i have to go to...
theyre a great car. handling is great fun and i think the renault 2litre engine is one of the best engines out there. loads of character and sounds class.
i found mine pretty good on motorways too apart from the odd driving position. the 197 revs its nuts off at 80mph+ where the 182 is a bit...
Yeah the rubbing strips are the same colour as the wheels. Its got normal ac not climate which inprefer. The climate on my 182 was rubbish.
How much is it for cup suspension from dealer or used?
i took the car for a good run in the country yesterday and i love it. it feels punchier than my 182 did and the handling is amazing.
i did the meguiars 3 stage clean, polish and wax today and it looks amazing. well pleased with it!
got to ge a touch up pen from renault tomorrow as there is a...
Just picked up my new (to me) clio 197
I had a new at the time 2004 clio 182 with cup pack and always fancied a 197 and looked for ages for the right one! I wanted either a mint 182 trophy or a 197 with the right spec (cup pack and recaro's)
so my new car is 2007, red with cup pack...
finally sold the 182 after months of mind changing. decided a diesel and a track bike is the way forward for me!! or maybe a williams instead of the diesel?? i dunno....
will miss the car though. was a class fun car and only let me down once (2 rear shocks after 8000 miles)..
just got my 182 back from the dealer after having 2 new rear shocks fitted.. inside rear was leaking badly.
I forgot how well the car handled as ive grown used to the broken rear suspension. well pleased to have it back again!
ive noticed similar things. the first press of the pedal always feels too long then the lifting off and re applying feels where it should be.
had it checked out and aparently they all do that.....
my thoughts exactly. my nearside left is peeing oil.. rear is knocking like hell now. cant get it looked at till next week and god knows how long parts will take etc.
how many miles are you lot getting from a front pair of exalto tyres on a 182 cup pack.
ive done 8300 miles and the inside/centre of the fronts are finished.
how much is a pair also. rears are still brand new so swapped them round for now.
cheers
I82 cup pack, 54 reg, metalic silver, 5000miles, not modified, paralell import.
selling up soon. wont have a use for it in the summer.. anyone know what its worth?
mine was one the first ones and it went back 5 times in a year for various squeeks, rattles, electrical faults and god knows what else.
absolutely loved it though. once u were driving u could forgive it anything. top car!
my Mick Doohan regae rep... what a legend.... and a cool lid if i do say so myself

personally i would rather have the cooper s if it was my only means of transport. its comfy-er, like u say better built and they r bloody good fun too. i used to have a cooper and was sooo frustrated with the crappy engine in a awsome chassis.
for what i need at the mo the clio does...
