I doubt you will notice much difference you have to really push the brembos to get them to overheat on a 182.
Something else usually breaks before you get to that point.. 😂
The backbox looks correct but I'm not sure that centre section will fit in it.
Also there should be a third exhaust mount that bolts to the car, that you will need so check that's not missing.
I’d bet water is getting in somewhere else and the previous owner has made a hole in that bung to drain it out if you haven't inspected the rear bungs and scuttles it may be worth the effort.
Ran them with no issues for years here, have you bedded them in properly?
Only other issue could be with the master cylinder, might not have noticed it before with the old discs/pads.
I’ve got some of the coin pattern stuff and it’s held up well to the abuse over the last few years.
Only issue I’ve had is you get any solvents on it they will make it sticky.
Finally had some weather to use this and its been excellent.

Cup packed cars have 15mm wide rings, normal ones are 7mm.
Both will work its just difficult getting the thinner rings in the correct position on a cup packed 182.
