Need some help!
Basically I have some issues regarding a fault with the throttle body on my clio 172.
I have replaced the associated relay and fuse, and also replaced the hrotrl body itself.
Upon starting the car up it revs constantly. And throttle body makes a horrendous screeching noise...
Yes mate fuel pump is priming loud and clear. so cant be that.
its definitely a wiring or relay issue as i thought it maybe. so ordered some new relays.
other than that im stumped really
I have been building this track / potential rally car for a few months now and have been suffering from an electrical fault.
basically ive replaced the full car loom uch ecu and key / barrel lock.
connected everything up, all earth's I believe are good, and battery has been replaced.
upon...
Just fancy something a bit different. But I'm guessing some cams and maybe ITBs would be a cheaper option!
Just liked the sound of a 197 head on a 172 with all the internals aswell.
Decisions in the next few months.
So after I get the Immobiliser sorted on the 172 rally car i have built. I will be looking at sourcing a 2nd engine and developing it myself.
My question is I'm looking to get around 200-210bhp. Plus. How? Well I'm looking for answers here really. Obviously choice would be a set of throttle...
Either that or the earth that's the only 2 things I can think of.
You know the battery negative terminal of that is 2 smaller earth wires with a square spade connector. Where does that go? I had it on the chassis. Don't know if that's a problem also
Thought I would fit the loom tonight but that almost went up in smoke. So it's back to the drawing board on the wiring side of life.
Thinking of sourcing a new engine loom and interior loom and starting again to be honest.
Found multiple problems in the loom once I investigated this one being...
Basically cut a long story short I've done a 172 conversion for rallying.
All loom and plugs connected up.
Installed new battery and as soon as I connected the earth it sparked and the started motoring didn't stop spinning.
Only waited 2sec before disconnecting straight away.
Is this a bad...
Been to a few rally's !ate and just seen them run braided line from the fuel pump to the rail.
All seemed to use the standard fuel rail. But then again I think maybe its done on a budget?
Gents
I am after some advice with regards to braided fuel lines.
I am building a budget rally car, and looking to Install some braided fuel line from the pump to the fuel rail, and a bit unsure of the size and what connectors to purchase.
Any recommendations advice is most welcome
Like the look of this mate.
bit of a pain are those sills im sure you can get some to do a bit of fabrication.
Got all the right bits on engine side of things though. Bet it goes well indeed.
I have beriefly looked at their website, and got a few things off there already like the spherical top mounts and strut brace which are quality products.
Unfortunately due to being away from home so much and a lack of funds at the moment. I have concentrated much of my time and budget into the geometry of the suspension set-up.
Rallying is a lot about reliability and having the correct setup / tyres. I mean there's technically 172bhp available...
Can't believe I ain't touched the car for over two months.
However managed to purchase an engine crane which made life a he'll of a lot easier.
After an hour or.two of messing around it was in its new home.
Hopefully next weekend I can have a good tidy up get the loom sorted and get...
Paul i have the exact same routing for the brake line but looking to do the same really replacing the copper for braided hoses.
Just wondering what brake fittings tou actually used and what sizes really' seen so many different versions. Any recommendations of companies?
Cheers
