This car reminded me of another build and I couldn't remember what it was until tonight. It the alter ego of this:

Turbo flange is different too so you'd need to sort that out and also get a custom downpipe and inlet manifold. Easier and cheaper to just get a 172 log manifold.
Technically, only impact sockets should be used on an impact gun. Normal sockets are for hand tools and any warranties will not be upheld if used on an impact gun. First hand experience!
At only 100Nm normal sockets will last well but it's up to you.
AN6 or 8mm or 5/16" in old money.
I use the teflon lined steel braided rather than the nitrile rubber steel braided as it seems to fit the AN6 fittings better. Torgues is where I get it from.
Re: Ph1 172
Cant see a drawing for the 294mm ones but I'll take your word for it. They all seem to have a different offset by 1mm due to the thickness of the hub flange.
I seen the 64mm spigot diameter but easily fixed.
Cheers for the info.
Re: Ph1 172
Glad you got an injector easy enough. Good luck for the mapping.
I thought mini cooper s discs were 276mm not 294mm. Are they larger on new R56 mini's as the R50 and R53's use the 276mm disc?
Re: Ph1 172
Exact same thinking as me with the AP's.
Bought some a while back and looked into making them radials then get some brackets made up. Should do a job and make less of a squeal than the 406 brembos. What discs are you going for?
Looking good mate! Love the gauge setup and centre consol.
Agree with Tutuur, you will find it difficult to bleed the air out of the oil cooler with the hoses to the bottom. Is there a bleed nipple on the opposite side to the hoses?
You don't need any ptfe tape on an fittings as its not the thread that's doing the sealing, just the clamping. It's the cone face at the top that meets with the same angled face and creates a seal. You'd be best to get rid to ensure you tighten the unions enough.
Went for the same sandwich...
Can't see the pulsar intake making the same or more power or torque than the standard intake if you're staying NA.
It is designed for boost so won't have the runner lengths of the OE intake and so less torque.
I had considered it for an intake for my boosted setup but decided just to start...
Re: Team Djw's Dedicated Track Toy Project
You'll be fine. Men have been fathers for thousands of years but it does put a whole different perspective on life! First 3 months were a blur with the lack of sleep but after 6 months it's all good fun. Cars really do take a back seat though...
