As soon as you change anything visually e.g exhaust , wheels , wheel colour , add a sticker .... You run the risk of being classed as a chav ..... The minorities spoil it for the masses, however it's no big deal :)
Not sure about a dent guy because of the rigidity of the door pillar, I can't see it being possible to pull it out, not like with a flexible panel e.g wing
I would imagine they would struggle to notice the difference in height between a non cup and cupped spring on one corner only, so I would say yes you will be fine.
My current and previous Clio both had these, they seem to attract them in this area... What are my options for repairing?
Obvious thought is getting a non dented replacement door, has anyone else gone down the filler route instead?
I had the no signal issue , replaced the base , in the end I replaced this cable and it sorted it - I put it down to the dodgy aerial connection on mine though
Going to have to pull out of this , list updated

You know to get that brand new look, cleaned them with plenty of elbow grease when I had the back box off last using autosol and fine grade wire wool, it made an improvement but there is still a long way to go...never used anything else than autosol and always had results - anything else I...
The elf is the standard stuff Renault recommend , but as said get the best you can afford and change regular. I will be trying something different on my next service
Thanks for the info lads i will go for the 150mm length one, £20 on egay so it will stand me at £33 (using the original pipe to the inlet, not silicone).
Where did you get your silicone bend from ?
I have messed with the headlining about 3 times now getting to the bottom of this issue, the first time i was sure the creases were going to be in the headlining forever, hated doing that!
When replacing the aerial base with the headlining pulled down slightly it runs to the right, once I had disturbed it to connect my new aerial base I could actually access it from the boot area under the plastic moulding.
To replace I didn't remove the trim at the rear , I bodged it a...
Ah thanks for the pic, that reminds me - i have been looking at ramair filters on egay & planning on waiting for my ally bend to arrive so i can get some measurements - which size do you have in the picture above? Any fitting issues next to the battery?
Thanks
Good news - replaced this cable the signal is back full strength.
Worthwhile considering changing this lead too if an aerial base replacement doesn't improve signal (for the sake of £15);)
Thats how i did it on my 182, jacked the exhaust up and then marked it on the rubber.
I had this issue on my old 172 and ended up replacing a nut&bolt, interestingly on the 182 they seem to have dropped the idea of welding the nut to the metalwork which made the job a little easier
Is the join blowing ? If so you may get away with removing the clamp , cleaning both parts of the exhaust up with sandpaper etc and resealing with high temp silicone.
If its due to the exhaust having a blow then it's new exhaust time , I wouldn't recommend pattern parts on a 172 (I did and it...
