Its a clio, the door would probably fold in half if I opened it one theirs!
Im on ebay Now... £300 would get me a proper tank...

Some utter a-hole has put a nice big dent in the passenger side door of my car! I know the car that has done it but have no way of proving it because unfortunately there is no CCTV covering that part of the work carpark. Utterly fuming about it. Noticed it today on my lunch and I checked the car...
30-35mm you should get away with just springs. What ones are you going for? (Brand?) Ideally you would get the shocks replaced as well with some that are made for lowered springs, but with such a small drop it wont be a huge problem I don't think.
How many miles has your car done? It might be...
did you put them on the right sides and the fronts on the front a rears on the rear?! ;)
Jokes aside, get your car tracked and balanced and see if that helps. Its one of the best maintenance things you ca do for your car and should cost less than £30! I had my last car tracked for £17.50...
all comes to £330.10 if my maths is up to scratch. My belt has 7k left in it according to the history so I'm going to buy the bits and then save for the labor charges to get it done in June/July
Renault Wolverhampton quoted me £330 for a full kit, drive belt kit, head plugs, oil filter and oil. Going to get the lot in a week or two and then sling it in the shed until I have saved the money for the labour.
Jack
cheers MartinR I will give them a call at the weekend and see what the crack is with my own parts being supplied. It's all "much of a muchness" when it comes to labour costs, everywhere seems to charge similar, I just want to find somewhere that I can trust to do the best job and support me if...
How would you prove it though?! Unless it was times up wrong, and that would be obvious from the moment you started it! If the belt failed due to their work, they would just blame the parts to get out of it!
Once I have all the bits I need I will see who offers the best labour rates. I think...
One step ahead of you on that one pal. Getting my parts direct from Renault Wolverhampton on here and taking it to MGE Renault Specialists near Kingswinford. They are happy to fit the parts if they are Renault parts. Also Birchdown have said they will fit them and charge me labour but won't...
If you actually want your car doing, drop me a pm and some photos and I will get back to you with an idea of time/cost. Im
not a pro detailer by any stretch of the imagination but I have cleaned a few cars in my time with no complaints!
Jack
Hahaha. It's a job for the experts pal! This is why it's so bloody expensive. Mine is due in 6k and I'm starting to buy all the parts now ready to have it seen to when the time comes. I've read so many threads like this and that's why I'm taking it to the pros, I'm normally ok with the spanners...
Cheers guys! @JAParker - Just get someone else to give it a detail! I'm not too far away! ;) haha. Skoda splitter is also on my list for the future. But tyres, cambelt and suspension is higher on my list at the moment though. :)
Jack
Add the belts in and your looking at £2000 all in for a car with 61k on the clock and 12 months MOT, you cant really complain at that. Although...the rust would need to be seen to as well....
I dont think thats too bad... Cars are money pits. You could buy a "minter" for £3000 and it could still throw a wobly a few weeks later and need £500 worth of work doing! £1200 for a 172 with 12 month ticket and that mileage...you haven't done too bad IMO.
She could be telling fibs and actually the car is fine. She just fancies you and keeps coming in with the same bogus story to see you... Just a thought! ;) haha
Im sure he will as well, its a very recognisable car. Tom loves it and has spent a hell of a lot of time on it getting it and maintaining it to this level, and I cant blame him, its a bloody stunner.
Jack
Z4's have started to grow on me! The other half wants one and I would love her to get one! Friend of mine from uni has a Z4M coupe on CLS's, looks stunning. (Hope he doesn't mind me sharing a link to his flickr... :/)...
Very much the same incident as yours, car pulled across his lane (Turning Right into a side road) and then stopped dead as a car was coming out the same road. My brother had no where to go but over the roof. I lived through it on the other side of things buddy. My brother was a mess for about...
Arrrrgh! I want to do a bike test so bad! Would love an R6 or GSXR600. Brother had a pretty terrible crash on a bike a few years back (Car didn't see him and pulled out) so since then, its been a case of not putting my family through the though of it and I have never bothered... but I'm getting...
Yer, I know right! I was going to try and wait until the weekend to wash it but it got to the stage where I hated the look of it and had to do something! Glad I did it when I did, meant I could get it out for a proper drive early on Saturday and get the above photos. It's an absolute pleasure to...
Because it was looking so clean I decided to take it out for a blast and get some photos. I have ran a few through photoshop and Lightroom, they won't be to everyone's taste because they are over HDR'd...I'm not too sure about them my self. I have a load more to go through and play around with...
Lovely weekend so I went out in the CS and gave it some of the beans and get some Photos! :) I played around with Light Room and the HDR stuff first...Im not really sure about it...
Some of them look a little over processed! Here are a few that weren't HDR'd
I like this...
Dont you mean the halfords one is the same as the sport one!! It was on the Clio before halfords started selling the copy! Haha. I do like the 200 badge...I just like the original rear end more!!
As Dave said. But I think you might be over thinking things!! It's a rare thing to happen. As long as when you shut the bonnet, it's closed properly (drop the bonnet from waist height and it should shut and lock! Don't ever push down on it as you might dent the bonnet!) you will have nothing to...
Cheers Guys! I do love the colour. Especially around the front wings with all the curves and shapes. When the light hits it right its got shades of Yellow, Blue, White and silver all in one location! :p Such a lovely car to polish up and wax!
