Not worth it IMHO. A 172 can be had for under a grand and is a far better platform to start with. When you would be looking at £3k at least for a turbo conversion the car price becomes less of an outlay to the overall cost of the project.

By removing the aux pulley you will need check the timing again anyway so best to use the crank pin, horse shoe and cam sprockets locking tool.

How do you get the cir clips and Gudgeon pins out of the pistons? I presume the pistons stay in the bores.

Been quoted £25 a corner at kwickfit before so that is very cheap compared. I now do mine myself for free so expensive compared lol.

Yeah, remap, geo setup, cage, new alternator, rear caliper, polycarbonate windows and CF door cards, sort the oil leak from the turbo drain and a few other niggles. Need to get it running well do battle with you! ;)

Make sure the hub face of the wheel has no paint/powder on it and it should cure it. Stud conversion is the way to fully cure if used on track.

£ for £ you will get more power for forced induction but depends on what you want out of it. I went the megane 225 route as a self build and it takes time and money to complete. Did my first track day with the new lump last weekend on the JC5 box with no issues other than the alternator giving...
