^^ I just took out all seats, threw in some 6,5 kg Sparco's , exhaust oem is a heavy mother so that's gone, all the trim is still in there . Weighed at 960kg without me in it. So that's what you get when you do'nt want to strip it totally
lol at this thread + replies !
But seriously ; my former scooby had a very noticable powerdrain from the airco !
Is'nt it also true that running airco worstens fuelconsumption up to 10%?
Go a total different way , i would be checking the first lambda sensor.. the up+down revving is why i draw this conclusion. Had this too and was lambda. Nothing to do with the earlier whistle or brake pedal though. I can imagine the brakepedal being hit , drawing power from the circuit and...
^^ well, that attitude is ruining a good engine ;) When worrying about damaging your car, do'nt take your car to work anymore but take the bike ! no matter the weather. These short trips are a lot, lot worse then a good thrashing. Actually , my knowledge is that these engines NEED the thrash...
^^ yeah skip it, i've read that the oem manifold is a very very good one ! Will never corrode or break. Performance wise very good aswell.
Maybe you could some day put on a 182 mani that you come across cheap, then spend $$ putting it on hehe ;) (lots of work)
hmm it seems he orders from the UK, so you can get it cheaper ! I remember looking at it last year and it came to 990euro's for us in the Lowlands. He (www.dutchpowertrading.nl) has an incorrect pricelist online atm though
Okay , look at MarkCup's car as an example to all you worrying lot, treating your cars like old people do. His car has been thrashed around all kinds of tracks + streets for 100,000 + miles !!! This engine seems to get faster with aging. Yes because it get's its' tits ragged off a lot :)
^^ this,
but actually i did'nt know you were running an Omex /etc. When running oem ecu the first lambda is very much more important i think in comparison to your setup. Does the Omex use the first lambda data for AFR like the oem ecu ?
I feel bad when i have not thrashed it ; thinking it might go "lazy" once.. I have a sort of rule that every time i run it , i have to redline it at least a couple of times. Only with a nice warm/hot engine ofcourse.
It's good for cleaning valves etc. you know , + keeping the engine "loose"...
^^ Like a couple of posts back mentioned i first got the basic rev-matching (which comes naturally me thinks) , now the last year i have been trying the heel-toe and i am starting to get it down..
But i can't really blip the pedal to getr the exact revs , it seems such a unnatural...
springs wo'nt make a very positive difference to a already very good OEM setup. The Cup on OEM springs/shocks is very hard to beat performance wise..Coilovers in the 800+ pricerange will get you started.
anyway, yours will certainly look better ! ;)
