unlike Danny stated, i bought mine new (RS ones) and they DID have a gap between rubber and cage. I think the Kangoo ones dont as they have (seeing a pic posted earlier in this thread) a bit of extra rubber . In my opinion this is better !
when you're so worried , get some 73 mm CAF off of Ebay or the like and point them towards the headlight. My experience is, after 10+ trials/experiments with c.a.f. setups, that this works out best on the F4R engine.
Foglight/bumper/forced air induct etc. do not work better, even worse and the...
defensive attitude Andy, relax
When i, for example, have questions about something on here i "search"/read around to find out about the subject i'm wanting info about. I have read Fred's thread on the DS 2500's where he warns/informs people about the different Ferodo DS2500 pads that are...
OK i found him, suddenly remembered his name. On the old forum he was registered under the name Jesse. No posts, no activity for a long while. I guess he outgrew the Reno's. Maybe he will still receive a message when pm'd ?

do'nt do it.
i did it once and there was no - or actually worse powergain and a very dirty airfilter because of more road-dirt-mess being sucked up from there
Someone has commented a couple of comments back on the JMS inlet, a cheaper option that will get you around 200. Almost TB power. Look into that !
Supercharging your 172 will be a dissapointment from what i've read.
too low rpm is also no good, or ? When mine starts up the idle is unsteady/wild because of the cams and on the low side. Sometimes to the point of cutting out , well not that far but pretty low. So around 2000 rpm is best ?
Like Tom has stated, raise it a little
Mine was scrubbing on the brackets; lowered on the recommended rideheight by H&R ! Raised a bit to 5mm and problems gone
