They do sound good but so does any open cone setup, i don't think the noise is unique to the KTEC one (Although i have only heard it streamed & not in person).
Good point especially with all the floods etc. Personally i have a K&N panel filter in mine as it was on the car when i bought it, if it hadn't had it i wouldn't have gone out of my way to buy one. I do like the fact i can just wash and re-oil though.
Yeah if it comes back i will buy one to turn it off. Like you I havent noticed any changes to the way it runs etc so will keep my fingers & toes crossed :approve:
Thanks , i will bear that in mind, although the previous owner has had the plugs changed within the last 1k. Its not come back on so far so fingers crossed!
Check out detailing world for as much information as you can shake a stick at on this subject. I understand as a beginner you will need a DA (dual action) polisher as its easier to learnt with one of these (i am getting a DAS-6 for crimbo - there is a group buy on detailing world).
From here...
I had a magnex on mine (bugeye) and it was the best balance noise wise.
Are you going to fit the blob sti wheels or stick with the hawk ones you have now ?
Fitted new plates , washed outside , dressed tyres, ,interior cleaned and new matts all round. It was my Titaniums first wash, tried the turtlewax liquid gold - wont be using that again.
Did you get to the bottom of this Martin?
I had the engine light pop up after a motorway run when slowing down , had the code read today (cheers Leeshez) and I also have the code P0420.
I have a milltek cat back system with cats still in place.
Looking brill , just gave my newly acquired titanium 182 it's first wash today, the silver hides the dirt well but much much better once cleaned.
What products did you use out of interest ? I was planning to give it a QD after wash but decided I will wait until I can give it the full...
No spare then?
I think replacements are around £120 ish from what i have read. I guess you are pretty desperate given you cant use the Clio so i would bite the bullet and get new from Renault
Check the (?Green) fuse under the bonnet (i checked everyone in the cabin & under the bonnet just to be sure), there is also a relay on another board but nearest to that fuse, that needs to be checked that its getting power too.
Have you confirmed the motor actually works by trying it direct...
No really a side of the road jobbie then :S
I had read before about the sump bolts sometimes causing a bit of a problem. Glad you got it sorted though;)
