Just got myself a DAS-6 for Christmas , need some guidance on suitable pads to buy . I already have some megs compound and finishing polish - any advice on pads to buy for the 182's paint?
Hi all,
I returned to the CS fold after buying my Titanium 182 in early December after selling my WRX.
Initially i had wanted a FF 182 but after coming across this Titanium 182 i realised that the cup packs are only minor improvements that i could manage without.;)
Some pictures from the...
big improvement, i didnt notice the el cheapo white join until you pointed it out in the thread.
Out of interest what did you use to spray your fuel rail cover?
Yesterday I fixed my climate control which made me very happy haha. Also cleaned my exhaust tips up with wire wool and autosol (it was annoying me) , then realised it was far too cold to be messing about so went inside :)
I wouldn't personally go black , the induction kit isn't oem so I would want a bit more bang for buck so would probably go for blue if I was on your situation .... What colour are your wheels ?
You need to measure the gap between the bolts at the bottom of the strut. 182 struts from cupped cars (suspension) are different fitment to normal 182's
Resolved this :)
Sourced a working motor, loom and resistor (thanks Adam.) replaced the motor and it was running at full speed all the time so I knew it was resistor pack related (I had changed the resistor in the pack but must have messed it up, I did have issues with removing the solder)...
Yep definitely remove the fuel rail guard to get access to the filter. I did it on Saturday and tried doing it without (have done on my previous 172) however it was too tight so had to take it off... Good excuse to clean it up too :)
It will melt the bumper, I had a pattern part stealth on my old cup , it wasn't even directly pointing at it and it still melted it and caused a mess . It was sitting too high I think (to counteract hitting the subframe)
Get a torch and have a look under the arch , a snapped spring should be pretty visible however use the other side as a reference as it may be harder to see a snap if close to the top of the spring. If its snapped , personally I wouldnt drive it much (if at all) until replaced .
It seems an extortionate amount , my bro doesn't pay half that for a 4 car unit !
For £600 a month it would probably be cheaper building one from scratch , given what it's going to cost you over a year ! Honestly don't pay anywhere near that much or you have been dry bummed (IMHO)
Oil , filter and sump plug washer change using the recommended Elf Evolution.
Weirdly they only sold it in 1ltr bottles at 6.50 +vat a pop, ended up getting a little discount and so £33 for 5 ltrs. Next time if I don't try another brand I will try and get it online.
Oh and also did a oil...
I have never worried about torquing up wheel bolts , I tighten them with my 1/2 " ratchet until tight, any more and i wouldn't be able to undo them with the standard wrench at the roadside in the pouring rain.
Nice, you finally picked it up then :)
Yeah sorting the headlights makes the world of difference to the front end. Not fancy some white stripes????(i like them :) )
Not sure what they normally go for but that's alot of monies for a 205...surely it's not going to appreciate much more ?
Why not try and find a bit of a project one (for peanuts) and make the profit yourself?
