the rough on idle could be normal as they seem to suffer from that. Have you checked the heat sheilds are all fixed and correct as this could be causing a buzz/rattle?
can anyone advise if the upper engine mount in post #2 looks knackered? Should i have the space either side of teh rubber strips?
I have been out to check this mount specifically and when rocking the engine there is slight movement in the engine but this mount is moving quite a bit within that...

It has been suggested that my mounts could be knackered causing the whole exhaust to sit too far back
Right I have been told my mounts may be cream crackered meaning the engine is sitting too far back which is causing vibration problems with my exhaust

Well my powerflex mount is doing the same job as the prima and this is how it's sitting
It's catching on the underside here

still trying to sort this, it seems to be catching on the backbox. System is fully mated up with the cat pipe aswell as being fully on to the center section. I would love to get it completely hidden like the ones above.

It will have a horizontal tailpipe though just hidden under the bumper - is that what you are saying ? If so, don't do it, get a pattern part off eBay if you must but don't bodge an Evo exhaust on the Clio !
