Get yourself some of those little drive up ramps – these are good for exhaust type jobs (I find I can only use them on the rear of my 172 as the front is too low)

Try spinning the clamp 180 degrees that joins the cat to the center section as that looks to be slightly lower than the cat itself, this might be the cause of the scrape

you can completely remove the screenwash tank for cleaning, give it a good soak in some APC type stuff - although once its out it might be easier to replace
a quick search of ECP doesnt help as they list both M10 & M12. Could try taking one of the bolts out and measuring it - bit of a pain though.
