Can I ask why you go to this cost and effort ??? Many (not all!) pattern parts adequately do the job at a fraction of the price. I am not sure why you would go out of your way to fit oem only.

if you start taking it to pieces like that you will have issues when you put it back together - you can guarantee it (sure i read it somewhere) just clean it when its in situ if; a) it bothers you that much (with no idling issues) b) if it needs it

as long as its for a 182 i.e straight and not for a 172 i.e kinked then you will be fine. A big clue apart from the model (172/182) is the price, 182 decats are much cheaper
