    His has just had timing belt done, mine not so sure, I have a feeling it's been done, probably badly as there is a pen mark on the de phaser, pointless as its a floating pulley

    but wont the thermostat allow the oil to reach say 100 then open to allow it to flow through the cooler then shut of once it reaches bellow desired temp for the stat

    It's abit of a beast, 570mm long slightly smaller than the cooler Demon tweets sell for £200! When you say thermo plate, you think without running 1 that cooler will keep the oil bellow operating temp?

    Go to GSF i spent a good few weeks trying to find the correct 335mm length rods for a Cup 172 same as 182 FF, ECP couldn't get anywhere near close to the length i required. Ring them and ask them to cross reference Renault part number 7701473656 and that should come back as a Firstline part...

    Only just seen this thread, I no longer own this but I'm sure you can all appreciate it! By far the best car I've ever owned loved it to bits! but due to changing job not getting used etc etc i got made an offer by a french collector which i couldn't turn down so its now on display in France...

    Nice motor, I went for the D over the I due to the fact I had just jumped out off a 8mpg Scooby so wanted to see some improvement, having the D remapped has made the biggest gain i've felt in a car from a simple map! 284bhp to 350hp then take the DPF off and have the map tweaked again its not up...
