Thanks Dan
Just won't poke through enough, it's about 1cm beneath the top of the alloy washer, even without the rubber thing at the bottom still won't poke through enough to get a bolt on
Hey guys I'm starting to get annoyed with this job now, changing my engine mounts the left hand side went on fine no issues, now the gearbox either I'm a complete idiot but the bolt is just not long enough to go trough the mount,
Cant get hold of K-tec at all tried ringing about 10 times...
Hey there, after some quick help I'm after 4 new bolts that hold the drivers side engine mount in place, just bought some solid mounts and hate using old rusty things on new parts, could any tell me what size they are? I would normally do it myself but I'm at work and car isn't with me, I can...
Well I'm glad to say the thermostat was at fault :) it wasn't operating till it got to 100 degrees, it should be 89 degrees :) chuffed I got it fixed for £3
I don't think it's dropping back to the level though :/ I haven't checked it since I took that picture Sunday morning, will have to see if after 2 days sat not moving has it dropped back down the mark I drained it to, I've got an thermostat for £3 at Ecp so might change that anyway as it's a 5...
coolant is 6 months old, never really been an issue with it raising it up, just noticed it starting at friday track day, its getting to the overflow pipe and not dropping till cold which leads me to think its the thermostat, but with no other usual signs like the temp gauge reading low or high ?
Hey guys, did a track day on Friday and noticed while letting the car cool down the coolant level was pretty much at the cap level, very very high I could also touch my inlet manifold straight away after a 20 min session okay it was 2 degrees outside but even so shouldn't be able to do that...
the 2.0l engine is not 1 to be messed with unless you have all the tools, I'm a very competent mechanic and i was to scared to tackle this engine on my drive, as far as I'm aware they don't have any timing mark or keyways in the pulleys not very helpful sorry

Thanks mate, sorted it I've used body panel sealing sealing strip and that's fixed the issue, I'll order a new gasket tomorrow if I can find a part number?

Hey guys, after some help! ive just got my car back from having the head re tapped for the plugs and have been driving it around fine for about 30 miles or so, on the way home from work it just started idling at 5k revs if you turn the car off and back on it still does it, ive whipped the air...
