Sounds like a vacuum leak to me ! Front of the inlet manifold is normally a suspect ! Had it a few times on mine ! Remove top inlet , clean , fit new gasket or pikey seal your old one , back together tight job is a good one !
I think it's a really good mod for the money ! Does exactly what it says ! I really can't moan !
And just a quick update , finally have in and filled up I still had 43miles on the trip and I'd covered 274 so a big difference to my previous !
Going to drive steady for a full tank to see what...
My 182 is the same and it's on standard 182 wheels !! Lol speedos are renown for being slightly inaccurate !
Best off using a sat nav for the most accurate !
I swear its honest mate ! When I'm in his car it feels quicker than mine but we have had a few plays since and I always pull on him ! If I have a chance and a safe opportunity and he aggres I will record to demo !
His type R has The AEM v2 that's it ,
mine has a 2.25 inch decat , full ktec...
I see what you mean ! Bhp isn't everything ! People chase numbers it's beyond me if it goes well it goes well ! The torque is the biggest difference IMO !
Ps over all I paid about £140 so i can't really complain either ! Cold start is so much better ! All though I must say I use to pop...
Glad you all like :) to be honest a lot of my driving Is in town, stop start which prob doesn't help ! Amazes me how people get such good MPG out of there's but all I can think is there driving roads ! I rarely get about 30mph on the way work :/ ! And the lack if a cat :/
Im a mechanic myself...
I've left posting about the RS tuner 98 ron map i fitted a couple of weeks ago , i wanted to get a few miles under its belt before claiming its a million times better !
So ive done two odd weeks with it on driving work home everywhere etc to see if there really is a difference !!
First off ...
Just a quick update :D
Not really done to much , saving up to get the wheels done anthracite ! or buy a DSLR havent decided which yet lol ;)
Ive had a few bulb related issues :S the side light has started flashing :/ so i guess the LED is on its way out , need a new one and the indicator bulb...
Ball joints are cheap i paid £6 for mine from euro!! just concerns me lol !! easy enough repairs !
concerned how the shockers are 'loose' :S didnt you notice it driving funny?
Looks average and asking average money really without any history needs £500 adding for cambelt which makes it strong money imo, mileage isn't everything personally id walk away but that's my opinion !!
Doesn't look like its been cared for to be honest !
And lets be honest there's no shortage...
Agreed! Although is it only me thats slightly happy by this? id rather have a nice courtesy car than the money go in there back pocket ? lol i know in a ideal world we'd all like it cheaper , but thats not ever going to happen !!
haha me again :P lol well they are very naughty ;) haha although i could argue it with people forever the new rules are as stated and if i you bring it to me i fail :P
lol
JUST FIX THEM ITS £12 FOR WASHER JETS AND £1 ODD FOR A ONE WAY VALVE !! lol worse case a pump and even they aren't...
No problem, can imagine delivery is a pain, personally if i was you id save the cash and get a good set ! Cheap stuff is normally cheap for a reason , i has a set of £50 lowering springs on my old fiesta , needless to say theres a reason why they were £50 haha
If your after low the 40 mill isn't going to help
Its not my type of thing but coilovers are the best way of getting really low !
40 mill will just about get rid of the wheel arch gap iirc !
Plus to be honest 'lows' may look cool but you will get bored off a terrible ride eventually ...
I'm pretty certain it doesn't, as a traders policy only really covers the vehicle to be worked on and driven during work hours iirc, not driven on social hours ( unless pre registered with the insurance company )
So id be quiet dubious mate ! not worth 6 points
Pre cat lambda could be faulty or covered in crap, thing is with no second sensor the engine doesnt have a value as to weather the cat is working obviously as it isnt !
Quick diag would be remove sensor and clean it up, could be fouled up, if the sensor is faulty try swapping it to the rear...
im with Daniel could be a whole host of problems but mass air flow on these can cause a few issues , try un plugging it see if it performs better the ecu should work of a set value then rather than the sensor, its not ideal and only temporary but might help you get home !
might be worth checking your pads as well mate, fluid normally only goes down if there's a leak or the pads are worn ! there a few exceptions but worth a look !
Reading that from a testers point of view , long story short depends on tester !
Ive read the manual on this and makes it clear that if xenons are fitted they should have washers and levers ! If they don't they fail ! It says they don't have to have them but in the manual it reads different ...
i think as long as they are looked after they are !
You will get the odd person who has problems but every car has that , and as a rule most people that say they are unreliable don't look after them or spend any money on them at all IMO
Had mine about a year ish now, done all the wear and...
Shouldnt do ive had a decat on mine for about a year ish and always ran it on super unleaded , MIL have never come on ! maybe a coincidence but when people run them on normal unleaded they seam to have the MIL come on, and people who run on super dont , maybe just the ones ive seen / heard though !
