Thank you Edde.
anyone on the longer gears ? They are longer are'nt they ?
so it's possible to refurb MY box (cup) with all the parts of a phase 1 box ?
mind you, the injectors are often heard from the cabin, tappety tap, but when standing over the hood all other noise deletes that sound.
I thought i had a problem with mine once.. were the injectors i was hearing
so they are a straight swap then ?
No speedo-difference between the 172 cup + the ph1 ?
I would love longer gears on mine.. I have gotten rid of some weight , she ways 960 kg now so this box sounds ideal
(not ever touching it when not breaking it but will be good to know)

these sell 'em
look for BMW tuningparts , BMW 3 series e36 , 3,2 EVO 326bhp, >>1999
that's the one you'll be wanting, 250,- pounds
are'nt the gears also longer on these ?
I'm thinking when accelerating in my cup i have to keep the gear hand on the stick because the first two gears are so short ! All this gearchanging will also put stress on the box ... better have a good ol' ph quick box !?
Are these a straight swap ...
Guy, why is the Motul 300v a bit overkill for the 172 cup ?
I have been running this one for a couple of years now, reduced all enginenoise at cold start immediately , compared to the Reno recommended Elf oil .
I'm using 10w40 , car has got pretty wild cams and raised rev limit
am i okay...
Nice ! Got yourself a nice cam too !
Critisisme is the way forward you say ;) ;
Notice that background features/ environment can distract the actual subject ; like the lines on the tarmac. Trie it on a totally black piece of tarmac.
Too much tarmac in the one pic also. Generally too much...
^^ mine were send over to Holland by BenR ; he heard of me ordering the thermal gaskets and he did some modifying of the inlets, car being in Holland ofcourse;), and they fitted fine !
^^ do'nt know about the Monaco but for the Cup/Ragnotti/light they even got the partno's. there for ordering the miniature ! And like the amount of cars made there are only 3000 miniatures around. Funny !
opening to this one i a lot larger than the Simota one..
The Simota Aeroform (different model) however is like a trumpet ; projecting sound towards your fellow roadusers and scaring the tits of of 'em
I had one. You're looking for the BMW type , will fit the RS
because in England there are far more 172/182's driving around, the problem is very well known + spoken about.
Here in Holland i've never heard anyone about it ! :S Am going by the dealer to see if the dutch are not forgotten ;)
I've read something about rust on the catch.. easy to see...
judging from the pic in the avatar i'm guessing the inlet manifolds of the F7R are different to the F4R inlets are'nt they ?
I have someone who wants to buy mine for a F7R/F7P engine .... Will mine fit this engine ?
**edit** just saw that your avatar pic was taken from a valver.. but my...
a high RON one. Here in Holland V power is'nt 98 , it is 97-ish octane. So i always stick to Ultimate as this was proven to be a genuine Ron 98.
Some places in Germany sell RON 100 V power. I know that Fastchip mapped a customers car (who fuels up his car with this stuff) to suit the RON...
Goochy goochy goochy .. the fwd Clio leaves a LOT of high power rwd cars behind on track, simply because it corners better. Even when fillin it up wit V-powa ya no ?
Off you go then ! to the tasty Jap car forum ! :clown: bye bye
back to the topic ; Baggers how does the rack work out for you after driving around with it for a while now ?
:quiet: haha ; well i meant that an open thermostat (some sort of valve in the coolingsystem reacting on watertemp) will keep the water in the system running all the time because it's stuck in open position + temp will stay low that way.
