Thanks again for offer. Ive bought a Cup box that im hoping to fit Friday night! Lol. Lap timer seemed to work, although it sometimes missed picking up the beacon and recorded a time for 2 laps. Ill increase sensitivity and should be fine. Never needed beacon either- happy with that!

Since checked my gearbox code and its a Ph1 089, so its longer ratio and older style input shaft bearings. So ive bought a proper Cup 129 gearbox that is meant to be ok. Fingers crossed!

Good video, what tyres you running there? Dampening on full hard? Its pretty loose looking at some points! Heres a pic of you shoving that red beemer through the chicane..

It was crunching before Knockhill but i replaced oil with the proper Elf stuff and had my fingers crossed. Didnt work.. I did around 60 laps and it was crunching on most up shifts and down into 3rd then 2nd into hairpin, unless i managed to give it a good enough heel and toe to help it. Haha...

Yeh i dont know how it managed that, the silver clio has short gearing, but that should make it quicker again.. The spin, is our very own MG Cup here.. Lol

I really havent done much with gearboxes, but to me the synchros look fine and the gears and hubs are what have damage to them. Its not crazy fucked but probably doesnt take much when your changing quickly at 7500rpm..!? See better here

Cheers Chip. That confuses it somewhat. I remembered the Renault gearbox manual had all the gear ratios etc in it so looked at that. The JC5 029 which i have has gearset G, so looked at others in the charts that have gearset G as id obviously be able to swap them straight over. That came back...

Well first outing was pretty much spot on, never had to touch a thing on the car all day, it was totally reliable and handled great. Biggest problem is gearbox is crunching into gears. :( Brakes also lost their sharpness after around 10laps. Heres an onboard of me chasing a Clio 172 sprint car...

According to my laptimer my best lap was 1.05 (although i doubt there was actually a complete clear lap!) so either yours is wrong or mine is! Id more suspect yours as a 1.02 is pretty quick going by Trackscotland times? Ive stupidly let it upload a 17min video on its own Youtube upload...
