my thoughts entitrly, I just would prefere not to spend £££ on new gear if late spec 1*2 gear is the same and cheaper second hand, that was my reasoning, adj dampers were and idea as I had them on my mk1 and I couldnt fault them.
Knowing my suspesion is getting a little sloppy and just passed 70k I had alrady bought myself a new set of top mounts as the ones on at the moment sound like they have become dust. but before fitting the new ones Im contemplating getting new suspension.
First port of call would be second...
got the lift eyes, rocker cover, cam cover, upper engine mount shot blasted too, pics to follow, couldnt get the exhaust manifold off intime tho.
engine is now out aswell.
subframe, wish bones and hubs will be next too. cant wait.

been a while since my last update but havnt had the time or the money, but in the last few weeks ive made some progress:

removed the inlet so i could get it shot blasted:

yep loads better than standard. couldnt recomend them more.
Nah no chance of lowering it. handles perfectly as it is, its balanced and predictable, had a lowered/ stiffer car before, wasnt as much fun to drive as this.
Following a 4x4 the other day up a hill and it was kicking out so much s**t, I hung back a bit till i could overtake and though nothing of it.... but got home to find my front end and mirrors splatered with oil.

yep B1176 is an awsome road, its a known bikers road too. loads of people have had accidents on it through out the years and a few people have died, its not a forgiving road as the majority of it is lined with trees and ditches...
must have passd you (about 12) on my way home. saw it last nite too, going down Grantly street, just happened to be loooking out my Misses flat window waiting for a mate.
