not correct ! the early makes have only one lambda, later ones have two
**** EDIT-- sorry , you were only on about the exhaust in general ! never mind me *****
when you get it hooked up , wo'nt hurt to check lambda readings anyway..
When reading above that sounds more like limpmode , yep.
However the light on my dads car was fume/toxic light and lambda was problem
yes i've read of cars going funny on idle when lambda was on the way out...
This should show up on a fault reading with computer though.. do'nt need to experiment with changing expensive lambdas as you're going to have it read out anyway
good luck, i'll be following the thread to see if...
yeah, my dad had a lambda problem on his Volvo and this light was showing.
Could be your lambda going fucked !
Maybe you've found your problem !! When this is busted the ecu gets your engine in limp mode , maybe that's why it's acting funny on idle dude
WHen this grease buildup is there ; does it automatically mean new driveshafts ? I think i saw my wheels being greasy on the inside last time i checked... Jeeez that would make two times in under 70000 miles
looked in the maintenance history of my cup and the driveshafts were renewed under warranty at under 24000 !!
Yes it seems they're a tad bit WEAK %$%$*^%
i've been there , done that . Nice piece of kit but it lost power, really...torque-wise AND up high in the rpm. If and/or when it will gain you any power it will be with an expensive custom map.
It was the tits with NOISE though ; louder than a scooby when revving it.
Sold mine
experimented on mine a while back..
Little toe OUT gave me a nervous car on the staights but steered in curves really great, little toe in gives you a more stable straightline ride, you have to pull a little harder to curve in.. Í really like a stable straight-drive so i finally set it on a...
When air is hot, the airparticals (oxygen) move around faster and therefor further away from eachother. Cold air has more slower moving particals and therefor closer together, "denser".
I'm sure it was something like this ; it was midschool physics if i remember correcty
The part with which you can adjust the height (the springs sit on these) , you'll need a bit of force to get those in from below.. hammer them in with a bit of grease..
excuse my poor choice of words, i'm sure you'll see what i mean when you get busy
Re: My Ph1 172 track sl*g Progress Thread
Got home from work at 7:45 this morning and read through all pages.
Was really worth the read, real nice job , excellent. Wonder what the weight is like this.
Is that a phase 1 airbox you got in there ? looks huge on one of the pics ?

Are you a serious clean-freak ? ;)
i think when thrashing the car every now and then , the way of driving will then polish the steeringwheel by itself..
seriously ; i've heard of using sandpaper to roughen the suede back up ?
i will be receiving them in two weeks, then it's straightaway to the refurb-people..
it is gonna be something special, hope it wo'nt cost too much though..
Got the seats for 475 (both) , on top of that the cost of refurb..
Hope it's not going to add to the weight :D
will post the pics
I bought them...:o
Since i got a good deal on ebay i'm going to have the blue parts refurbed into the Cup blue, should look great then !
These seat are the nuts, very lightweight :)
bet that steers comfortable !?
I'm also 6"4 and when i put the seat back far enough so my legs have good position, the steeringwheel is kind of out of reach ..
'Have you looked into the "deeper dish" wheels ? They vary from 45 to 90mm in depth and can be more comfortable for your seatingposition
I'm also looking for one.
