The guy at the shop told me he was also using the black ones for his track bmw's..
You showed your pics ;) but what do you think about them ? Has the setup made a big difference for you ? Or have they not been mounted yet ?
I'm thinking of getting these, the car is going to be up on the bridge soon anyway for this + that. Since it's done over 100,000 kilometers i thought it might be usefull to change the rubbers.
Anyone have experience with these uprated/stiffer ones ? Are they of any use you think , make the...
think they may have given it toe-out , happened to mine and felt like a totally different car. Unsecure steering, like you said. Since most roads are slightly "curbed" (sorry for poor choice of words) for waterdrainage, your wheel will want to search "upwards" because it's pointed slightly...
Check Cat Cams, pricelist in euros
runs on OEM everything... though you need to get your inlets matched for maximum profit. Engine will need more air/fuel , uprated airfilter recommended also
Niiiiice rebuilt engine for sale for much $$$$

sorry, German... it says It's built up to Group F specs, must be a lot done to it for almost 8300 euros (about 6000 pounds!)

I think when doing a turbo mod. and such, you use this because things around manifold will get so hot they will start to melt.
No point on standard OEM cars
Look at Ben P 's project car and the nearly finished Rear Wheel Drive clio (CHRIS172RWD ?) , they're using the stuff because of high...
yes, will be a new car to drive

Look for RS tuner kit.
you can get this, very good and very friendly priced. the Pro-RS tunerkit would be my choice. Henk Fastchip knows his stuff
A Renault specialist who does service on my car said also the bearing is a bit stronger , just a stronger hub than the earlier smaller hubs
Somebody correct me if the 5mm is'nt right, i'm sure it was something like this. It would be 1 cm in total wider track
I was told the hubs are bigger like 5mm, so stick out further. The ET from the wheels on the 182 is different than the 172 Cup wheels so they sit further in. The wheels make up for the difference of the bigger hubs so the actual track is the same again.
I checked this out last time i almost...
if you want to lose torque, keep the caf off... the thing was designed to have CAF connected. Feed it down to the wheelarch (bit of fiddling, wheel off archliner out) where you'll have a good feed of cool air
Try it with + without. Drive around a couple of days trying both situations and...
other happy converters

i've just done a search again and there are really loads of people quite enthousiastic and satisfied with it
End of.. Phase 1 box is defo better than the "square" phase 2 :D
^^ mind you, i do think we need to keep mother earth clean ! Never toss anything out the window or things like that But every now and then getting the CO2 producer/global warmer out of the barn for some thrashing also keep me happy
Only difference in setup will have been yet even more environmetal issues . Every new car they make is "cleaner" than the one before, sacrificing optimal speed+enginepotential.
Keeping down exhaust emissions is a big theme for the Reno boys, not for me
When getting mine remapped it will be...
Mine is defo scrubbing the coolant hose, not a good thing..
once battery goes to the back i'll be looking for a 45degree angle elbow so the box sits where the battery used to be.
Because such an elbow probably does'nt come with the oilbreather connection i'll put a filter on the tube, or an...
Do'nt know why they changed designs, probably using same airbox for different type of cars and saving production costs
I got the idea off this forum; read that the airbox design of the phase 1 may be better.
Not just this one thread.
Also the car does feel faster, may be because of the 65...
No, Phase 2 .. have cut some off (5mm) and now it's on there but wedged in
Did'nt want to buy another elbow part because wanted to try and keep it cheap. For the moment it'll do like this.
Soon my battery is going to be moved to the back so i will have some more space in the engine bay
THink...
I have just finished up with fitting a phase 1 box + two 65mm airfeeds. Taken the acoustic valve out for some space, AS IF THERE IS ANY
bloody knuckles at the end, but worth it.
Only thing is, with the standard elbow to TB i really had to squeeze/force the box in there and there's...
