yeah well it seems "oily" but coolant can feel a bit oily ca'nt it ? Going for the taste next ...
Yes DrRollo; it was planned (box-oilchange) for this week, getting it done ! ;)
All of a sudden i noticed today there's something dripping... looking under the car i could see a fresh drop of the substance; looked "goldish" to me .
Since it follows it's path down towards the lowest point i'm not sure yet where it comes from. It's not pooring out but leaving it for a few...
having leaking problems suddenly now too... fitted a phase 1 airbox which i kind of had to jam in ; the box is scrubbing against one of the coolant-hoses and now there's (like you said) a greenish substance dripping out from somewhere . I'm guessing we both have coolant-leaking problems m8...
I knew that.... :quiet: :D
After driving around a coupe of weeks i can say i'm happy with the mod.. But also think the most benefit will be after a new map to suit this mod. Still waiting for the decat from K-tec, as soon as that comes in i will be doing a custom Henk job (Fastchip) ...
Dick you'll be fine with the 10w40...... when you really want you can change at next interval.
I asked the Oilman
I think it was like this; the 5w40 is better when you drive the car a lot on short distances, it gives a better lube on low enginetemps. The 10w40 is better when running long...
there's a thread from a couple of days ago warning you for the uprated lowermounts ..
Í thought about Powerflex but am sticking another OEM one on there .
A shortshifter would solve your problem ? I've decided to go for this one and keep to OEM mounts + change them more often i guess...
Yeah i've also read there are no ITG's for the V6...
i had a look at the pic of his V6 airbox, it seems just the feed is different, the box looks to have the same dimensions as the phase 1 box so you can fit the ITG. He's got a giant 10cm Caf to it, nice one that. I have changed to a phase 1...
right, this is what i also thought.. when i'm there i'll take measurements.
I did hear of a 7cm diameter exhaust (cup racer) in comparison to the standard exhaust being 6,3cm .. do'nt know however if the manifold is also 7cm.
Anybdy know the diameter of the pipes of the 182 manifold ?
I've been offered a cup racer manifold and wondering what the diference would be with the normal 182 manifold, if there is any ??
better question ; anybody know the difference between the normal 182 manifold in comparison to a cup...
this low boost turbo kit will please you if you're looking for the torque.

i've driven their car and it's all that ; comfy daily driver and also able to race...
are they the Cup wheels ? because they will sit more outwards in comparison to your 172FF wheels.. different ET.
The hubs are the same on the 172FF and the 172Cup, only difference to make wider tracking is the ET difference so you'll be okay with just the wheels
remember the crankcase breather (the tube) , it's mounted just before the throttlebody and this will guck up your TB again. I'm getting another bend without the connector and going to put one of those small breather filters on the tube + just let it vent to atmosphere.. Should keep the TB...
oh my... you've got money to spend ; Quaife differential .. When checking out their pricelist i noticed something; of all carmakes the Clio differencial is the most expensive by far ! More than 1100 pounds for just the part.
Then the box-rebuild , do'nt know how much that will set you back...
Yeah the 172 FF does feel different does'nt it ?
Read a couple of threads on here concerning weightsaving; i've been losing weight on my cup and everytime i take something out i think wow :) !
car feels even more willing and responsive.
Next week the 6.4 kg seat are going to be mounted. Back...
please post your findings when you mount them Dave .
I've read that you do track , i do'nt . When/if i will probably do their "normal" purple ones... i'm also thinking OEM will be fine for another couple of KM's
