i think the splines are ok, not 100% sure yet, going to take the shaft off and have a look. The pin that goes through the shaft and the splined bit of the diff is not there, but that shouldnt cause a problem.
If it is something internal in the diff what is the easiest way to sort it?
I have being having problems with my gearbox as some may know. I was advised to try the thrust washer and circlip thing but they were fine.
It seems like the gear box is not driving the drivers side drive shaft and as such that side has the lest resistance so the diff is driving that side...
South West Scotland, Ayrshire, Prestwick.
That must be the second point i was talking about so i dont see any problem with that.
It is just the engaging issue; do you know what would cause that?
yea mate, ps is passenger side.
If it is in neutral should the other wheel turn the other way or not, if i turn the ps wheel slowly the ds turns the other way but when i did it fast it seems to slip
I have only tried 1st, 2nd and Reverse. They all work, going very slow and not fully...
I have a problem with my valver gearbox, i thought it was the classic thrust washer and circlip but replaced that today and still no worky.
I can actually make the car move, more in reverse but have to use some pretty trick clutch control, keep switching from reverse and first and move it very...
I have went to order the parts from Renault today, not that i do not trust them or anything (lol) but the guy said the code had changed to 8200 295 074, can anyone confirm that this is correct?
Thanks for all the compliments folks, Smokes I understand your concerns, I have them too. I feel the std headlights date the car, the reason I like these ones is because of the clear lenses like more modern cars. I dont really like the angel eye bit which is why I’m not so keen on the black as...
No prob, ive got a car coming to me Tuesday next week and i think it has this problem. I want to get it back on the road as soon as possible so I’ll get the bits and await your pics to do this.

"You must be with your vehicle during breakdown and assistance, and you must have a valid AA membership card and another form of identification. "
Was thinking that, so say i join and tell them i broke down but didnt have time to contact them and have made it home do you think they would pick it up?
I didnt break down as such, car doesnt drive when i bought it. WIll that still be ok with the AA?
And even if the break down was before i joined the AA will it be ok?
Do i not need to be a member of the AA?
And is Trailer It a company or are you telling me to put it on a trailer?
