Gally, cheers mate. May have a few more Porka's to play with off the back of this one.. (just hope they're not all 'sticky paint sufferers'!)
A few more big jobs this month - can't wait! Good times.
Cheers guys. :approve:
(RE 'how much £££' etc, drop us a PM if you could...)
Nope, no news yet. I don't think the chap is actually keeping the car long so may not bother chasing them.

Hi all.
Supposed to be out working on a black RS4 but it's been put back until mid August time which saddens me :(. Still, allowed me to catch up on the latest online.

thanks again all.
BL is nice. Nice, but tricky! Not the easiest to work with to be honest.. still not got curing times nailed; will always require a wipedown sometime later to remove gassing smears and what not (but this is 2nd nature to me now anyway, so, not too much of an issue (so long as...
Thanks for the pic Chris! (also replied to your PM, cheers)
Phil, nice. You got some good shots there - esp like the ones with the sun down the N/S but that portrait one with the tank-track reflection is mental! (On that note, have you looked into Blackfire yet?)
Dawn, whats your location...
Hard graft, by hand? For any sort of decent correction, you're really looking torwards a machine job. A DA would be the best - perhaps pick up a scrap panel first if you're worried about going straight onto your own car; you just need to be comfortable with the machine. You'd be pretty unlucky...
Thanks all.
I'm revisiting middle of next week for maintenance on the Porsche and then some light prep t'others. If it's fine (weather), he hopes to have all 5 Rari's on the lawn for a photoshoot. *Watch this space!* :D
Android, some F50 pics for you:
.....hope you're talking about the finish on the paintwork.
The owner will be going back to the dealers with my photo evidence on both the 458 and his Cali - interested to hear what they have to say!
Yep, that's a slight problem for you!
Ever thought about looking into the Blackfire kit? Was well impressed with it on the monaco blue.
If I could get a shot this quality on all my jobs, I'd be laughing. It's ace!
Ferrari 458 Italia – Nero Black

“A Major Correction on a car that is less than a month old?!” Yep, I’m afraid so.

Uncles, you're in Newark!? ME TOO!
Will keep an eye out for you.. Likewise, look out for my blue A4 Avant.
Thanks all - was a nice job. Phil ("SHoT_CoRPSe") was very pleased.

You'd be suprised how difficult it can be (to maintain a defect free finish 'properly'! ;))
If you've not already read something similar then, this may help: Safe-Wash Guide
It's what you get for using a *cough* carwash! *cough*
Ha! Only kidding. Here's the "safe wash guide" thing I was speaking to you about: http://www.whitedetails.co.uk/files/dummiesguide.pdf
A few public teasers...
Speak to you tomorrow, Phil
My worry about working with show cars is, once the car has been handed over, its then the owners' responsibility to correctly prep it from then on. Luckily, the weather was fine Friday morning and apparently the car literally just needed a dust down. It could literally be that one wipe or one...
Much appreciated.
Did you see the car in person, Marc?
I wasn't a fan of the show; trying to chat to Dom from Dodo but I was having to shout because of the noise! Some 'interesting' people around, too. :rasp:
Cheers all.
Halfway round a monaco 172, something for you to watch out for!
Toby, ha! I spiotted your car; I was going to tag it with a business card but forgot. Gah. (Yep, pizza was all good; 'cept the waiter tried to kill me with a falling bottle of red wine!)

^lol. The remaining 'crazing' left is no doubt deep sanding scores left by the coarse paper. As mentioned earlier on in the thread, you shouldn't really have to go much lower than 1500/2000 grit paper! If it's bad, just do it over and over to chase your results. 600, you've no doubt left marks...
 Thanks guys (n gals)
oooh, nice. Look at that! Ha, and theres me loading barrels of AutoSmart on top of the bootlid... Thanks mate - may be in touch about this!

Nice Dawn :)
Those front indicators are very orange! Had a b7 RS in recently and had a crystal front end - cleaned it up nicely!
I like your little red detailing trolley! ;)
