Does anyone know if there is any difference between 172 cup driveshafts and PH 2 172 driveshafts? Need to find out as ive fitted cup wishbones to my Williams and im not going to have much of a front bumper left if i leave them due to the extra castor from the cup wishbones. So want to see if i...
Ian what are you doing with the interim motor after the new one is built? I could be in the market for a new engine early next year if you going to be selling yours..
Thats fucked, wouldnt touch it with a barge pole for that price. Only way thats ever going to pay off is if you repair cars for a living and you can fix/get all the parts trade. Even then re-sale will be shite as cat D at such a young age will put people off.
Oh I was livid, 2 weeks of late nights preparing the car and had to rip it all apart again. Only conciliation was the release bearing guide round the input shaft was heavily worn and I didn't notice when I took it apart the first time. So good thing I had to take it apart again really.
Renault management uses 60-1 trigger pattern with a double tooth, the Marelli management in our cars uses a 60-2 trigger pattern. So if you dont machine out the double tooth it wont pick up TDC and the car wont start, i found this out the hard way and had to remove the engine from the car again...
No doubt he does have "some" driving talent, but anyone can drive a car beyond the limit when the know there not gonna have to foot the bill for it when they crash it.
I bet if he was having to work his ass off to pay for it all and smashing the car meant no racing for a year and living on...
Ahrite i see, Im pretty sure the clutch cover on em is just a standard one. The Helix i bought which is the clutch they used towards the end of the mk2's has an identical Valeo cover to standard, weather its stronger sprung or not i dont know but on face value they look the same. Unless yours...
Did you change the clutch when you had the engine and box out last time Ian?
In two minds weather to change mine again when i take the engine out, Dont really fancy shelling out another £460 if i dont need to. Done 1 hill climb, 7 Stages in the Jersey and 150 miles of road driving/practice...
Wheels are gash/dont fill the front arches enough, to much rake, angle eyes look crap. Other than that its alright, basically ill have a standard M5 please.
Basically you can't do it without the original equipment that mapped the ECU. I've spoken to TDF and a even marelli uk and its just easier to go aftermarket.
Ahrite yeh, i normally just lift like you would with a dog box between 1st and 2nd. Seems to work out most of the time aslong as your not too quick. I still reckon it can be made better by altering the shim thickness though, i went from a 2.5mm shim to a 1mm shim and it only gave me jip some...
Stuff that, rather have a mint 325i sport for 1/4 of the price. Only E30 worth buying IMO the M3 and 320is are well over priced now. E30's rot like mad as well, i bet i could find rot on even what is considered a mint one. They rust from the inside out, its like cancer.
Rear beam was just uprated bushes, im soon going to be fitting pure motorsport wishbone and rear beam rose joint kit to my cup racer. Hope the front bearings last longer than 5 minutes. Still having doubts about fitting the wishbone ones tbh, might just fit poly bushes instead. Rear beam ones...
Drinks bottle with bit of rubber hose drilled through the cap, put a bit of brake fluid in the bottom so the end of the hose is covered. Open the bleed nipple, pump the peddle till all the air is out, close bleed nipple. Job done
No need for spesh bleeding kits. If i do have a really stubborn...
The Radio Spares contact cleaner i have had a sort of lube in it so probably no good for an airmass meter. not sure about other contact cleaners though.
Ken Block is a fag. Therefore all his little follower fags are like sheep and feel the need to cover there cars in the stickers of a foul tasting energy drink just like him.
Its not a Bacci diff, they look totaly different. Doesnt look like a Sadev either. Pretty sure Gripper dont do a diff with spline output shafts on both sides either.
Im pretty sure they are machined for camber, well atleast mine were. If i take all the shims out i get about 3 degree's of negative. Would account for them being thinner.
