Picked these up off Ben a few weeks back and just havn't had the chance to get them on to have a look.

Just back from a 6 week holiday, left the car on its charger for the odyssey pc680 battery, sometime during that time the electric was tripped turning it off so the car went completely dead.

In the middle of trying to get a 172 gearbox back on and the damn thing just will not match up on the splines on the clutch easy.
Never had a problem on any other car but this one is being a right pain in the ass.

Still having problems with my rev counter, it did work grand originally when I wired the omex and itbs up.
Then on the rollers the tdc sensor gave up and I had to stick in a random renault sensor, started and ran it fine but no speedo.

Hey guys, hooking up my omex to run the rad fan but it seems to be turning on and off when it gets up to temperature.
Eg : on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off,on,off, etc non stop
Omex is even showing me that its turning on and off, and I can hear the relay click...
Since fitting the ITB's the engine is running a fair bit hotter and im pretty sure the fan is playing up and not coming on at the correct temperature.
Sitting in traffic for any more than 5 minutes my coolant temp guage will start to work its way up over the half way mark so im planning on...

Just happened to google this (CLICK ME) and it came up as a replacement for the Odyssey PC-680.
Just wondering if anyone had heard of them, they are around half the price so might be a decent replacement if anyone with the knowledge can shed some light
I can do nothing but laugh to be honest at the moment its just not going my way.
The new engine is in, fixed the climbing revs... was a bad connection in the brake vacuum hose so at least thats one thing.
So the new issues i'm having now are:

As above, just got the new engine plumbed in (minus the coolant system, wanted to check it ran first) and it starts normal then is reving quite high around 2k and then it starts to climb and I shut it off at 4.5k before I s**t my pants.
Pretty sure there aren't any air leaks or anything, all...
Well some might know I suspected that the car dropped a valve just before christmas so I began stripping the engine to see what the craic was.
Hope to have the new engine sometime in the next week, once the couriers start back working again....... such a pain in the ass time for it to happen...

Well guys need help with this one. Driving home earlier a random noise started when any load was put on the accelerator.
Sounded very tinny/rattly and the engine would bog down, back to normal though on lift off and the noise disappears.
No dash lights and I just presumed the exhaust had...
Question for the more knowledgable, my coolant temp needle while driving sits at 1/4, sitting at lights or slow driving it will go to half way and today for the first time parked with the engine running the needle shot up to full and had the engine light one.

Changed to cup alternator setup recently and put a new aux belt on.
Its just started squealing after a few thousand miles but only for 3 minutes or so while the car warms up and then its gone, even on startup again.
The belt was tightened enough so that it can be twisted 45degrees on pretty...
As far as i'm aware I have a cup alternator in front of me, the part number is 7700424596 but theres no female connector to just plug in from the standard loom.
This is it below the alternator on the bottom, with the normal aircon one at the top. I'm not convinced it is a cup one but if it fits...
