Yea I have a mate who did that. The garage (a Vx dealer) tried to moan, but then realised that he was right. Side windows are not a legal requirement, neither is testing if they can go up or down.
Dan
I wouldn't paint the side stripes - the shop at the top of this page looks the best to me :)
Although I'm stunned none of the haters have come onto this thread and said "If you wanted colour coding you should've bought a FF" heh. (I don't think that just to clarify)
Dan
LOL @ high mileage heh.
Bargain that mate, even if the belts haven't been done I'd have thought. And I assume as you say it came into your work, you work at a garage, so can probably get cheap labour anyway?

Standing and not been used does a car no good at all. Things 'set' where they shouldn't - belts/rubber bits etc and it can seriously weaken them on the pressure points is how I understand it - and it can weaken them when they're moved if they've been sat for a long time.

Everything, I pwned a Veyron earlier in a straight line, he was trying - then when we got to the twistys I soon left him so far behind he was out of sight. And it was wet. And I had 8 passengers and a tonne of bricks in the boot. And I wasn't flat out.

They're like, 6 years old now, should I be replacing them anyway? It's the only thing I can find that's not mint about my Vee now hehe - well, once I've replaced the drivers side grab handle anyway (it's a bit minged).
Dan
Are the wheel nuts for the Vee just standard Renault 'Alloy Wheels' wheel nuts? I've noticed a couple of mine have gone a bit rusty on top and been really vain, I think I might have to replace them :) Or can I get covers for them perhaps? I remember my old 206 had little plastic caps over the...
For the love of god don't get the spoiler :D I like the side skirts and front splitter tho... Any other options or just the Recaros (which are a necessity IMHO)?
Dan
Was just browing the bay due to bordem and came across these -

Thoughts? Personally I reckon they'd look pretty good on a 197... Anyone fancy doing a bit of PS work :) ?
Dan
Both offerings from VX are *significant* improvements on their last 'performance' versions of those models (Astra GSi and Corsa, I suppose the 125bhp 1.8 SRi was their quick one of that...).
However, something is really not right here, it must have been an insanely twisty circuit for the Corsa...
What is this, revive shite-old-threads day? I just found myself looking at pics of Rob's car from 6 months ago as well thinking "I didn't know Rob had a new car..." till I noticed the date heh.
