The guys voice made me nod off. I had to watch it twice :) Nice cars, video coulda been a bit more Top Gear though hehe :) Seems a bit unfair that they'd use the GT 207 and not the GTi mind you.

Ok my interior light appears to be a 501 - deffo not a festoon. Weird :) The number plate light is just a small bulb - not sure what fitment that'll be.
Dan
Heh the F50 driver was short shifting, wasn't pushing into the corners and just looked like he was on a gentle sunday drive :) Still sounded the tits though.
Dan
Naturally you wanna be paying sub £15k for the 197 - seen as R27s could be had for £14k heh. Just a tip, there is a guy on eBay selling his 56 plate red 197 for £9,995 - apparently looking to part ex it for a Cup... It's Red, Climate, 21k miles so just run in - maybe worth a look, save...
Am I right in saying the interior courtesy light, the map light, the side lights and the rear number plate lights are all 501 fitment? I'm thinking white LED replacements for the lot in the Vee is all - mainly cos I'm bored and browsing eBay right now heh :)
Dan
Well I might have to start 'commuting' to hospital soon heh, I'd rather do it in a 197 than pile 130 miles a day onto a Vee. Save me going deaf from the K-Tec for a start hehe ;) Maybe he'll give me a grand or two and the 197 as a part ex ;)
Dan
Mind you, there is a tidy one on eBay right now, 56 plate, 21k miles, climate, ultra red - £9,995. That's top end 182 and Trophy money. At that price, with 2 full years of warranty left, that's bloody good value IMHO.
Dan
Christ the V6 gives me 30+ on a long motorway run if I take it reasonably (keep to 2 figured piles of chocolate buttons for most of the time I mean).
Dan
Haha dude no way, I was reading this thread thinking the EXACT same thing heh.
This thread needs deleting - it's worse than the weekly "CTR vs 1*2 which would win?"
Just for the record, I've driven both a few times now. The 197 is by far the better all-rounder IMHO - in a straight line I...
I've seen far worse reps.
And that blue Cat D has been for sale a LOT. They appear to have skimped on the proper front grill, so who knows what else was done on the cheap...

I go shopping with my mum some times. I'm 24, male, and not gay. OOoo.
I also park over two spaces, deliberately. I haven't saved up to spend my own hard earned on a car for some chavspawn brat to not give two s***s that they're twatting the door of their doley dads fucked up Cavalier...
On the upside dude, every time someone bins a Mk1 - ours get that little bit more special ;)
I feel sorry for the owned :( I'd be gutted if I killed mine.
Dan
Might have felt it, but they both have 75bhp, both have similar weight etc. With the low spec Clios there'd probably be FA in it in the bends as well. If you had them both on the road, you'd need to be a driving god racing against a granny to get one past the other :D
Dan
But that just shows how little Ph1s are worth now :( I don't think they'll ever climb in value, till we're sorta 20 years down the line, and even then only crazy mint, original low milers will be worth anything as so many were made and sold. Williams were limited so it's a bit different.
Dan
Hmmm, what has been done to acheive that 289bhp? That's more than just a remap if it's accurate - so be wary of Seat (dealers are as bad as Renault IMHO) invalidating what's left of the warranty... Good cars though those Cupra Rs - what colour was it?
