Just a couple of pics i took on Saturday after giving it a quick clean (not upto the standard of some cars on here though). Quite a few bits left to do on it yet but it's getting there slowly.
Can't wait for the Eibach's to arrive from the Group Buy now.
Also tried a few of the options...
Surely a Stealth Mk2 isn't meant to fit like this ? (Ignore the cut in the bumper, it's from my other exhaust)
I had it fitted last Saturday and it just rattled non stop, we then spent hours last Sunday adjusting it and testing it with no luck at all.
I then got it booked in last Thursday...
Finally got around to painting my engine cover.
Decided to go for two shades of Blue, just need to apply the clear lacquer now.
Now i need to decide what to do with the Inlet Manifold. Do i Paint or Polish it?
If painting then what's everyone's opinion on colour ?
or
If polishing...
Got my new brakes through from Yozzasport this week, so i've spent today fitting them. The old Renault ones needed replacing so i went for Brembo High Carbon Discs, GreenStuff Pads and Braided Lines.
Then i gave it a quick clean
Still need to repaint the calipers silver...
Just wondering whether there's anywhere i can get a new clutch for my 172 cheaper than the £160 i've been quoted from Renault?
Any Suggestions ?
Or am i stuck with buying it from Renault ?
Clutch has gone on my 172, seems fine while driving but all you can smell is burning clutch when you get out. Dropped it off at the local Renault Garage for investigation today and confirmed that it needs a new clutch.
They've quoted me a price of £850 plus i've still got £80ish to pay today...
As the title says, the bloke across the road from me has backed his pickup into my car and asked me to get him an estimate for the work. The bumper just basically needs repainting so i went for an estimate today and because it's already been resprayed once (and apparently not too well) he...
After seeing some of the colour coded engine bays at RWS i decided its time i make mine respectable.
Here's some of the colour options i quickly knocked up on Photoshop (although i'll be colouring more than just the engine) wanted people's opinions on the best colours.

I can't believe it, i'm just having my alloy refurbed after somebody moved my car and scraped it down the curb (not sure how it's possible to scrape a wheel moving a car straight backwards). Anyway my wheels are black so it looked terrible, so i thought i've got to get it done before the World...

Yesterday morning i saw a nice looking 172 in blue with gold wheels and gold side badges. It was parked on Station Road in Strood at about 10ish.
The colours really caught my eye as i went past.
Didn't get chance to see the reg but wondered if it was anyone on here?
A few of the best pics i took today at Brands.
