I run my Alpine IVA-300RB media station with a Alpine V12 550 rms digi-amp for the sub along with a 2 ch amp for my front system all from the batt. and it´s fine.....So you must have a dodgy fuse holder/connection for sure
I have the 300RB too and it´s awesome:D
There is 2 leads in the back of the HU. one multi/control and one for the DC/DC converter. And all the rca´sl, changer, navi ect. connects to the control box incl. speakers that have a long loom so you can hide the box. But not sure if it´s loong...
Get a Alpine mate, they have what you need, and can cope with the stalk too. works fine on my media station. alpine make the adaptor ,so it will work with most functions.......I would look at the CDA-9833 or 9835 they are awesome H/U´s:D
For that kind of £££ I would get a Alpine..........Much better qual. ........Think Sony is a bit w**k with all the flashing lights and stuff.
Had Sony before I got my Alpine H/U.......I will never go´ back:D
Why bother when you can get coilovers and ohter(better looking) rims with smaller ET = wider track ........you will most likely change the std. setup anyway sooner or later.
Year i know but thought the wire was by the iso socket or something easy. But I need it too get the navi-computer to work right, as I´ve heard most units will not be 100% accurate if you don´t wire it up.
I think the std. changer is a M-bus changer, anyway it was on my mk2 ph1 and if it´s a Alpine you can get a M-bus to Ai-net so it might work with a alpine H/U. Not sure but Alpine would defo know if you write a mail and ask them.
Anybody know where the Speedo signal wire (Taco-signal) will be in a Clio 1.6 from 1999...........I might get GPS for my new Alpine media station as I miss it sometimes. Don´t know why I sold my Garmin......
If you have a good H/U, a set of speakers will defo improve sound over the w**k std. ones. But no doubt that amping will make sound even better!! My Alpine sounded very good with a set of 2 way comp.(Alpine spr.) but ivé now got a 2 ch. amp. and the qual. of sound is truley awesome.
It´s just as I said, 7 screws and 3 under the stearing collum and pilar covers. You have to get the whole dash off as you can´t lift one side at a time. You might have to unmount the display cover, but it´s only done with clips........Had my tweeter´s build in so I can angle them towards the...
it´s not very hard at all, just take off the A-pilar covers and loosen all the screws. 3 at the windscreen(top af dash), 2 at the end of dash, and 2 beneth the stearing collum(at the dials) think collum have 3 screws at the under side, and then pull back and up.
I had a Sony MD-H/U with stalk-interface. But the sound was crap compared to my new Alpine. MD was cool and much more ideal for car use than cd´s. Wish Alpine did a MD-H/U because I miss it now and then...
If there is one with a coloured stripe/line that will be + (most likley) but if your musik sound "wrong" and muddy change the two lead´s..........You can hear if it´s not right.
^^^Heating up the window and the sticker itself is a very good idea other wise it will be impossible to get on. Also start from the middle of the sticker and towards the ends when applying to the rear curved window to avoid air bubbles ect.
If you wan´t a stand alone unit go´ for Garmin Street Pilot 2610 or 2620. Nothing can beat them in speed and detail, and they have all the features of the build in systems. Touchscreen and a very good map make ém so easy to use and it´s accurate like no one I ever tried before.
