sounds like it could be a noisy clutch release bearing, ive had one on my daily driver for about 10k miles, don't notice it until someone points it out now lol
whirring noise go away once the clutch is fully released? tone of the noise change as you press the pedal harder or release it lighter? sounds like the release bearing if so.
im sure opie oils do worldwide shipping, no idea on cost though! they are about the cheapest about in the UK for oils and the service is fantastic, Elf stockist too!

I think I've bought at least 4 of them that the ad has said "apparently cammed but lost the invoice, definitely feels it"
The reality is most people don't bother to change the camBELT never mind the cams 😂
i wouldn't worry about swapping to the JC5 for strength, the JB3 is a fairly decent box anyway!
Are you sure your K4J has a JB1? aren't they all front starter motor?
one angle with the V6 is flawed, its like Carol Vorderman, if your just looking at the face its not all that, you need to take in the full package :ROFLMAO:
it would struggle to idle if the cam timing was out but obviously there is other things that could cause it not to idle too, I'm just going along the lines of, if you have double checked all your steps and confirmed everything is connected etc then the cambelt is the only thing that's been...
All pulleys should be loose.

Tension belt
Turn over the belt thru 6...
buzzing from the throttle body is perfectly normal, it will stop about 30 seconds or so after the car is shut down. you sure the cam timing is spot on? floating pulleys so belt tensioned with the pulleys loose etc as per the workshop manual?
when I was 17 I bashed the internals out my cat, cut out the insides of my airbox to improve air flow and fitted a panel filter and cat back exhaust, it made 80 something bhp at a rolling road day - used to go quite well for what it was! especially with all the weight stripped out it and an...
I remember a while back there was somewhere everyone was getting genuine Magneti Marelli injectors from for a reasonable price. Is this still the case?
Just checked autodoc and £220 for 4 currently. I see you can get a set of 4 generic ones for around £100 mark but unless there is any known...
I have noticed its very strange at 1080p, on my Projector downstairs i play at 4k Ultra and it looks visually stunning, on my workstation I play at 1920x1200 Ultra as that's the native res of the monitor and it looks 10 years older. while other games look the same just obviously at a lower...

Tell you something, the interior on the 5 looks brilliant, when you first jump in it its a massive step up in quality..... My wife done 140k in a Clio 4 and the interior used to clean up like new, I've done loads of miles in mk2 and mk3 Clio's with no issues... She's done 40k in a MK5 and its...
Mrs booked a peasant weekend in a caravan for her and the wee one as I couldn't get time off work, but boosted up for the Sunday night. Any excuse for a run in this thing 😂
Old skool Vs the new skool!
I get everything's being pushed towards EV/hybrid but Renault don't offer a single petrol powered car anymore? Surely the demand isn't that low already?!!
Here's one for the gurus, it's got me stumped!!
Car is a 2001 1.2 16v sport, it's developed a new noise, it sounds like a very bad wheel bearing but it only does it at 4300rpm! Sounds perfect under that and disappears around 4500rpm.
Now before everyone thinks I'm a mad chav ragging about a...
