I don't understand why you would post a thread up like this, slating a well regarded specialist because you didn't like the price they quoted you, meaning any time someone searches their name, this is what comes up.
The scuttle panel just under the wipers that covers the heater motor? It just clips on and is held in place with a pin on the left hand side, a tab on the right hand side and the rubber bonnet seal
The inlet ports should be the same spacing as I'd imagine the blocks are similar, depending on what age your current k4m is it will have either a cable throttle at the rear of the inlet, an electronic throttle at the rear of the inlet or an electronic throttle at the right hand side of the inlet...
Put the gearbox into first (using the same method you currently are - by lifting the gate),
loosen the 13mm linkage nut under the car and disconnect it from the gearbox without pulling the box out of gear.
Have someone hold the gear knob roughly where you think first gear should be (let me...
Mine was hitting the limiter at bang on 7k with a thermostat failure.
7250 was the 172/182 rev limiter, the 197 and 200 are 7500, they don't hit peak power to 7250rpm according to the specs from Renault.
Remember most RR operators won't go to the limiter if they have started to see power tail off
Yes, standard rev limit is 7500rpm, if it's coming in at 7000rpm and you have been driving for 30 mins or so then your correct, thermostat likely requires replacement.

Ohh and those silly number plates, 10D or what ever they are
As above just have it resurfaced if required, the reason nothings available aftermarket is because there isn't really any reason to change one! The 1% that want to, just have it resurfaced, not somthing I've ever bothered about though
It was badly needing a wheel alignment so took it to Pro-Grip as usual and let John do his thing, all good, no issues, was like a new car afterwards.
Having done about 4 miles in it since first start of the engine, I took it for an MOT, to find out it was the fussy MOT tester testing it.... I...
