Stripped on standard suspension will have caused the optimum rake angle to be altered.
With the rear end sitting higher it will have moved the weight transfer further forward, combined with old rear shocks it will only make the issue worse.

The BMW will probably have double the torque of a Clio, delivered instantly as well.

FK1000P from FinishKare is still very good for the money.
Really easy to apply and remove, you can leave it on as long as you want and it'll still buff off easily.
Bonus is that you can use it as a wheel sealant as well.
