    Pro-Line Braided rear lines

I tried with the clips on but they wouldn't have been doing anything as they just rattled around.

    RS172 Limp mode >6800 RPM - DF254+DF002 - throttle body?

If not, try come contact cleaner to dissolve the corrosion. Not that common for the throttle body or pedal to be faulty really, although it's not unheard of.

TomoTek - 182 Track Build here we come!...

Spectators have been allowed the past few events, I've been to two. Has it changed again? Still showing as tickets available for £12 in advance.

    RS172 Limp mode >6800 RPM - DF254+DF002 - throttle body?

Check the connection on the big white plug in the fuse box for any corrosion. Can cause havoc with all sorts of issues, but fairly common for throttle problems.

Have you come up with a device to stop cars punting you off into the gravel at Redgate 😂

    Power Tool Perverts

Yeah i think it's 3 years on the tool and 1 year on the batteries. I think by the time it's dead in however many years, you'd be looking to swap it to the newer version anyway, everyone loves new tools 🤪

    Power Tool Perverts

Yeah i mentioned this earlier in the thread. You don't want to miss out on the warranty, their service is very good speaking from experience.

    Loose Read End

I saw a stripped out 172 Cup on standard suspension once and I thought it had been raised! Could have got a dog in the rear arches 😂
  13. Mr Trailer Man

    Loose Read End

Only if you have worn shocks, however you will notice the difference. They sit ridiculously high on the rear on standard suspension when stripped out 😂
  14. Mr Trailer Man

    Loose Read End

Stripped on standard suspension will have caused the optimum rake angle to be altered. With the rear end sitting higher it will have moved the weight transfer further forward, combined with old rear shocks it will only make the issue worse. Ideally you need coilovers to correct this to get the...

Shoudnt the 172 feel quicker than this?

Not that fragile if you stay off the limiter. They tend to not like limiter bashing.

Shoudnt the 172 feel quicker than this?

Torque makes the difference to how fast a car feels. The BMW will probably have double the torque of a Clio, delivered instantly as well. Clio should pick up high in the rev range, 5k+

    Camshaft oil seal cost

Book time is like 6 hours, so depends what garages charge... Try Birchdown in Malpas.

    Camshaft oil seal cost

The price of a full timing kit (£500), or just the belt + labour if it's been done recently. Plus the seal kit which is another £40 roughly.

182 rear caliper rebuild - whats so hard?

New calipers are usually cheap Chinese shite. I'd prefer to rebuild the OEM Bosch/ATE units.

182 rear caliper rebuild - whats so hard?

Just do new seals and tighten the cable slightly. It'll be fine after that.

    197 cams or GrpN timing?

    Retains the dephaser.

Are expensive waxes a waste of money?

FK1000P from FinishKare is still very good for the money. Really easy to apply and remove, you can leave it on as long as you want and it'll still buff off easily. Bonus is that you can use it as a wheel sealant as well. Some pretty good beading

    Road legal track tyres

If you don't do many road miles, just fit some AR1'S or R888R's.

    Pro-Line Braided rear lines

It's fairly tight like you say, but mine went in fine. I binned off the metal clips that hold the standard lines to the bracket, so maybe that helped?

    Ignition Switch / Live Feed

Ignition lives are usually yellow. Best to check with a multimeter before you chop stuff though.

    I know that 😉
  29. Mr Trailer Man

ARB + 15s and body roll

The rear ARB will make it lively in the wet, just so you know. As for wheels, I have speedline 2118's and they are fairly heavy but I don't know any different because that's all I've ever used on road and track. Braid Maxlight's are also another option available from Pure Motorsport in Clio...
