Its took off the cam end to set the timing on the cambelt. Theres 2, a big one (which is that one) and a smaller one. All you have to do is pop it back on. Take your engine cover off and pop it in the hole. you can see it fitted in this pic near the middle. You dont want any dirt/etc going...
Not very long, radweld also makes a gooey mess of everything. If its the radiator they are fairly straight forward to change and can be bought from places like adrad.co.uk for about £70.
Did you undo the top hose on the rad and pour the rad weld in from there??
They tested them all on 5th gear and none really made a difference. Some even decreased the power. Renault strongly recommend not using any of these types of products.
Just had a quick look, the bolt im thinking of is I think the one that holds the aux belt tensioner on. A new bolt is not included in the aux belt kit.
Its not engine cover or fuel rail.
It looks like the one that goes near the aux belt tensioner that I think it part of the alternator mount?? Youve got the square bit where you adjust the tension, and then just to the side a bit lower theres one like that sits just behind the belt.
I dont think they are interchangeable, the update list stereos have a new type of wiring bus. A tuner list cd changer also wont work in an update list.
Not sure what the benifits are, Renault sell a ipod adapter for the update lists, also the cabasse update list stereo has a higher wattage output.
I think there was a guide on fubars website but thats been offline for a while now. In a nutshell:
Jack up rear, stick it on stands with wheels off
Pop the centre caps off the discs with a screwdriver
Remove caliper with 2 bolts and pads
Crack the hub nut off with a 30mm (youll need a breaker...
For the cost a mechanic would charge it would probably be cheaper to buy a swan neck spanner and a hex key and do it yourself, you've only got to take off the top mount nut that you see in the engine bay.
Not only the fuel rail guard, but also one of the bolts that hold it on?
The 3 holes are normal, 2 are for the engine cover and one is the little alignment thing.
As above, that mount just stops it bottoming out. The exhaust isnt fixed to it. There should be 2 other mounts towards the rear that the exhaust hangs on.
