Ive had this too, not from doing them up but from undoing them. The bolts are made of cheese. I bought some new bolts in a little pack from Halfords. They are M8s iirc. Theres 3 that hold the bracket on.

You also gain a bit in bhp and responsiveness as the engine doesnt have to turn the air con compressor, pas pump, aux tensioner and idler.

You want to route it like this, you can get the belt from Renault. I think the part number for the belt is 7700114730. Any problems with the part # let me know.

The carbon canister is down there behind the foglight. Sometimes the solonoid jams and causes knocking sounds. Might be worth checking that.

I can never tell, the standard 172mk1 twin chamber cat isnt too bad as it is. I replaced mine as it got damaged hitting a brick in the road.

The gates kits are also dated when they were manufactured. You never know how long the Renault ones have been sitting in the warehouse.

Theres nothing wrong with the Gates kits, they are normally identical to the renault items. You have to remember that the renault items are not exactly top quality parts to begin with.

Any mk2ph1/mk2ph2 clio made after 2000 is a 4star. The mk2ph1 made 98-00 werent tested, not all of these had passenger airbags.
