The HU is a clarion one from a suzuki, thought this would be easier than getting a new hu etc.
As for the 172 if i get a cable for the tuner list stereo, can i still have the cd changer connected at the same time??
As above id go aftermarket. Yozza do a quiet quality stainless exhaust.
I bought a new renault exhaust, before fitting Ive strengthened it and sprayed it with high temp anti corrosion paint, so far its lasted 3 years and looks good on the outside but I think its destroying itself from the...
Tell your mechanic to have another look. The back springs can be done in 5 mins by undoing the lower shock bolt.
Sometimes in the trade a torsion bar gets mixed up with a trailing arm.
The gap is perfectly normal, theres nothing wrong with it mate. The gap allows for the difficult angle the strut goes when the wheels are turned. The bit you need to worry about is the rubber in the turret and the bearing plate. If its not knocking or banging they are fine.

As well as the back and centre section youll need a new fitting sleve, and gasket, plus possibly new centre to cat bolts and nuts. You can fit it yourself, no welding required it just all bolts on like a big mechano kit.

They are quite tricky on 172s, the manifold to cat bolts and nuts are hard to get to and the cat to centre seciont bolts/nuts corrode quite badly.
Its a also a 2 man/woman job as someone needs to have a spanner on the cat down the bonnet to manifold bolts while the other undoes the nuts on the...
Youd need the door cards that are similar to the ph2 clio, the ones where the elec window switches are in with the door grab handle. The elec mirror switch is on the driver side grab handle. The mirrors will also be heated when the rear demister is on.
Some door cards from a...
Yours has the earlier type mirrors, some do have the wiring ready in the doors, but guessing from your car it probably doesnt is it a 98-99??
The elec mirrors would still fit but you'd have to get a bit clever with the wiring. Possibly new door cards needed too.
Renault sell a kit with new gaitor, grease and 2 clips, last time I looked it was £20. I wouldnt use plastic ties only as a temp fix, especially if you plan on doing track days.
