I've got 476s for the winter months, and also don't mind re-applying every few weeks, as I top up the wax avery 4 weeks atm as it stands :)

Cheers, so if you weren't limited to cyc what wax / sealant would you reccomend? Which one do you think? They seem to be colour dependant and I can't find one that seems to 'fit' the colour of my paintwork:rolleyes:

As per title really, currently use 476s as LSP but no sealant, so what do you lot reccomend? Was thinking roughly £40 wax / £20ish sealant. Durability isn't an issue for the wax, as long as it lasts 3 / 4 weeks im happy. For a Mondial Blue Cup. I was thinking DJ Hard candy / Jetseal 901 combo...

I've noticed my engine sounds rather diesel like as of late, also the idle is afwul, lumpy (almost like its running on 3 cylinders), and would like some opinions on just how bad this engine sounds and if you think I need a dephaser or there are potentially more serious issues :

It's a Piper catback system 2.5" ID with a 3" outwardly rolled tailpipe, coupled with a 2.5" silenced decat :)

I think exhausts 'on show' can look pretty tidy imo :

Bump - can anyone help with this? I think what I need to know is at what point does the wire split, and head to the midbass driver and tweeter seperately? As if I can locate this, I can install the crossover near there. Otherwise it looks like i'll have to pay someone to install them :(

Is this rep black / siler side vents and chrome (look like wolf race aisa-tec or similar) alloys? With no spacers? If so he frequents oakwood quite a bit!

Right ok then.... So from what i've read - no actual crossover present in these cars, a capacitor is used on the tweeter to filter out LF signals, while the speaker in the door is two way. The speaker wires go from the HU through the door, where they go to the main speaker and from there...

I may have misled on the original post - apologies; I will be replacing both the stock midbass and stock tweeters with the focal equivelants. So there is no active crossover within the OEM setup? Could you explain in simple terms in which order I wire in terms of where the crossover fits in...

As the standard sh*tty speakers are crap (drivers side intermittently crackles into life), i'm looking at a set of Focal 13cm component speakers (from MTAUDIO), specs here : http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-focal-130a1_p-24076.htm They will be powered by an Alpine 9887r Headunit...

Just fitted the same size front plate to my car, it makes such an improvment, really cleans up the line of the bumper. Looking top dude :)

Yeah they are pretty throaty, the silenced decat made little or no difference though :S Good choice on system Roy - let us know your thoughts once fitted!
