Looks good that, that's a good pic with the pooch. Looks like Kumho Ecsta KH11's you've got on there, had them on my 1.2 and they were sh*t in the wet they must be scary on the 172!
You can easily run 60mm springs on standard shocks. There are loads of people on this site who did it and I've been doing it for months with no problems, they'll just wear out a bit faster is all.
What size of wheels are they?
He had a tidy looking 1.2 dynamique, which he's now starting to ruin with sport badges and stupid steering wheel covers. There's making it look "different" and then there's making it look plain sh*t.
It's a complete waste of your time/money tuning a small engine. Best way to go is do the handling - lower the car, better tyres, better brakes, strip the car out if you want. You will gain a lot more through doing that than trying to tune a 1.4.
If the force was big enough to break the number plate light I'd check the back panel and boot floor as said, and look at the bumper closely for the paint cracking.
Will probably just be brake dust, in the same way it turns silver wheels yellow if left for long enough. Just get them white and get a good few coats of wax onto them I'd say.
Performance mods are pointless on a 1.2, won't make any difference. Better off spending your money on gettin it looking good, and I have a 1.2 so no I don't have a big engine to make up for anything ;).
Never thought of that, just had a look on the bay

Nope, they're campus'. After they stopped the "PH3" they made a campus that looked like the ph2 again, my mum had one and so did a guy I know, before making the campus the way they look now. Just to confuse things more like.
