Only on the front 2 windows, the back three can be as dark as you like, and the windscreen is illegal no matter how dark. My mum's mk3 dyn S came with rear tints as standard and I think it's just a nice level, so whatever level that would be what I'd get.

Cheap bodyshops are not good bodyshops. So you make the choice between cost/finish.

I actually wouldn't bother with all the stuff you're talking about it's pretty tidy as it is, although I've got to say it (:rasp:) I'd lose the rear lights.
