My flame Red was registered at Renault manchester, is a 2000X has no alloy bonnet but has the shift light.
No its not, the steering racks in the sport Clios are different, they are re-engineered and stronger. Im not sure of the exact differences tbh but they are different.
OK Fred, Ill keep my eye out for one though, I guess they must be universal for Clios as it just bolts/clips onto the subframe and all clios have the same frame.
Doh! I just had a look on the dialogys and its a big thing covering it all, I guess the previous owner must have removed it as I cant see it just falling off.
I still need a pic though as theres 2 on the dialogies and I cannot work out which one it should be one is £50 and the other is £80...
Its so hard to keep your 172 standard! I have some ph2 rear lights in my garage and with all day off, I know Im going to find myself fitting them even though I want it standard.
...A standard looking 172mk1 looks so good low on coliovers though!!
They will fit but for the front bumper you will need matching wider wings, if your fitting the wings you will need the matching side skirts. Also the rear bumper you'll need new arch liners. Its a lot of money but you can DIY fitting it. The youve got to think about getting them sprayed which...
The 1.2 has the same problem, the mk2ph1s were better because they were cable. I know a driving instructor that purposely bought a mkph1 because people kept stalling the ph2 as it was unresponsive. The throttle is also too light to know exactly if your pressing down on it and by how much.
Change the cambelt, the 3 tensioners/rollers, the aux belt and the tensioner/roller on that. Also inspect the water pump. PM me your email address and Ill send you the Renault workshop manual fof the belt change/procedure. I think you could do it (especially if youve worked on alfa engines!)...
Does anyone have any pics of the underside of a 172mk1? Preferably the frontal area. I need them because something looks missing from mine like an undertray or something.
Yeah Id guess at the sensor, my brothers car did the exact same thing until I changed the sensor (same engine). Let me know if you get stuck ill show you where it is and get you a part number. Does the temp gauge go up and down/seem unstable while driving?
