Fitting it is probably the easiest part, its wiring it up thats going to be a b**ch. The only one that I can remember is MATTBLACK TT that was originally a mk2ph1 that had a ph2 dash but that had a matching ph2 engine and loom.

Buy the pads yourself, even from Renault and do them yourself, its not hard, look in the Haynes manual or I think there is a guided on www.fubarnet.com
It depends which one you mean. They are all fairly easy to change, loosen the 4 drivers side mount bolts and the bolts on the mount under the battery and pull the engine forward and re-tighten. This may reduce/resolve the problem. Have a look under the car in the middle and see if the rubber...

Surely its the older ones that are more effected by this? Saying that all the older shape Ive seen have the metal type that the other Renaults have as apposed to the plastic one.
You have a point, although the garage will have trays full of them in the spares room, take your original one get them to go out back and find a new one thats exactly the same.
^That and its a hell of a lot easier to get the bottom shock bolt off with a long torque wrench.
torque wrenches are woth getting iirc even Argos do one for about £15.
