    Waxing day after polishing

Yeah you can strip a glaze quite easily.

    Waxing day after polishing

Stripping the polish? You realise polish isn't a coating, there's nothing to strip off.

Rear shock bolt into hub? Where I get a new one.

This. Slow speed more pressure rather than high speed and light pressure or else you'll burn the bit out. Always works for me.

    Waxing day after polishing

Just wash it, no need to polish.

    Matt Paint

Don't want anything with gloss enhancers or anything in, just a plain shampoo and Ph neutral foam.

Sat idling it won't be the box then. Funny smell.... Alternator getting hot?

    Track Focused Coilovers/Suspension

5100's will require servicing more frequently than 4100's by the nature of their inverted damper design.
  14. Mr Trailer Man

    Clio 182 whine/whir

The wheels are still turning the shaft on the gearbox so the noise will be in time with the speed if it is the box bearings.
  15. Mr Trailer Man

    Track Focused Coilovers/Suspension

Yeah and they're an inverted damper too. Still 1 way adjustable same as the 4100 though.

    Slicks - where/brand etc?

You've not found the limit then ?

    Clio 182 whine/whir

Don't know what that is, not the aircon though.
  18. Mr Trailer Man

    Slicks - where/brand etc?

The only downside to slicks is that they don't let you know where the limit is, no tyre noise, no understeer as such. They'll just snap and let go on you.

    Clio 182 whine/whir

Aircon pump that. Mine does it when i've had it on, doesn't do it if i turn AC off.

    Slicks - where/brand etc?

Oh haha, gonna say. I've used them when John had the Megane. Mind boggling how quick you can corner with them.
  21. Mr Trailer Man

    Clio 182 whine/whir

Any different when turning? Possible power steering pump, although it doesn't sound like it is.

    Slicks - where/brand etc?

The new Toyo's will 100% be better than the used Dunlop/Michelin for the first trackday. Slicks are at their prime at first use.
  23. Mr Trailer Man

    Slicks - where/brand etc?

I'd try those Toyo's tbh for the money.
  24. Mr Trailer Man

    Slicks - where/brand etc?

Plenty of life left in used ones for trackdays mate. I'd say Dunlops, more UK support and they're designed for our climate where as Michelin will be more European focused i'd imagine. Still perfectly fine to use though. Brand new is silly money, probably looking at £800-1000 for a set of 4.

what size bolt in 182 foot rest

I'll check later for you, it's still out the car ?
  26. Mr Trailer Man

    Slicks - where/brand etc?

Mini Challenge use 185/580/15 Dunlops. Or Ginetta which are Michelin. Roughly equivalent to a 205 section road tyre.

    MarkCup's BMW M140i

Crazy to think you can get 130+bhp gain from just a map then. Edit: It has a sports cat and panel filter, but that's it.
