Don't forget the spring rate of the 8kg will be nearly half effectively because it's mounted inboard of the shock, so the motion ratio is like 0.5 making the 8kg more like 4kg.

I've done 3 track days and they are about half worn. They have 10mm of material when new.
I have them in the rears too, so the fronts aren't braking as much as they would with OEM rear pads.
