Yeah it is road legal, just swap over to pump fuel and it's good to go. It usually runs in a class called street eliminator which all the cars are street legal, all taxes and MOT'd and they have to do a 26 mile cruise including stopping for fuel and hot starting.
The original guy that built it...
Yeah, that's Martin Smith's 3000bhp Bentley.
It's a twin turbo LS engine I think, but they're having trouble launching it properly. Once it gets going it's a 7 second car at over 200mph.
And it's still street legal lol.
Was at Santa Pod for the Doorslammers event over the weekend and this car was one of many that caught my eye.
Mega quick.
Still a B18 engine but with a big turbo and about 45psi of boost on E85. Around 1400bhp!
Easy, drain plug underneath.
Plastic wing nut on the front of the box to fill up from.
Pour oil in until it runs back out of the fill hole.
Can either use a funnel and tube from the top or one of them hand pump things from underneath.
Looks to be some oil pooling up on top of the lower inlet though.
Probably the rocker cover needing resealing, but again it's not major. Can get it done on the next belt change.
