It wouldn't be the keys. If there was a key problem the light would flash fast, if it's solid then that says that the key has been recognised but there is a problem somewhere else, possibly with the ECU talking to the UCH. I didn't have the stopping problem however I has the starting problem...

Thanks for the reply, it also leads to me that it could be a relay. I took each one out earlier on, contact cleaned them and wd40 the terminals. So far so good and it's started up every time(touch wood!) Only one looked a little dodgy with green stuff, that one I tried starting the car...

Mine did this, much to me getting used to it after 6 months i locked my keys inside! It turned out to be the 'button' inside of the car where the door closes on. My drivers side one was faulty, i temp swapped it with my passenger one and it works fine, just need to get one for the passenger side...

With the cotton wool, where abouts did you put it to stop the rattling ?

Mine does the same, was meaning to put a thread to ask where to get the clips from or something to sort it. I think the reason mine rattle is a couple of them are cracked so it doesn't clip into them all.

Not sure about the first problem but the second video the sound is coming from the throttle body, it's normal and everyone's does it. It just sounds louder with the bonet up!

I believe it could be that as once or twice I have held it and a few seconds later it's started. However, today when I tried to start the car it was just turning over and not starting, bump starting it didn't work either and after a couple more tries at the bottom of the hill it started up...

If its the genuine Renault one you can get them from them for around £18 I think.

Well I am still no wiser with this, so thought I'd look in the same place in Das182's car to see what his was like, sure enough the plug was there with nothing into it! His alarm is standard too from the looks of it, would someone else check theres? I'm really curious now !

Looks like a rep from mycarcheck.. But it also comes up as a 2.0l with 75bhp. Weird!
