    Replacement for AG/SRP?

Ah, that I'd not taken into account. In that case, Daniel; SRP new formula. I honestly can't think of anything that will match it for cost/ability.

Removing gaffa tape glue from pole windows

Plastx from meguiars for the swirls. Tardis or AG Intendive Tar And Glue Remover for the residue the tape leaves. Soak it first using a paper towel.

Need a strong wheel cleaner for white wheels

Yeah, that'll be why it doesn't look like it's done anything. The new stuff DW raves about contains a fall out removing ingredient and is pH neutral. The stuff you've got is just brick acid and won't be doing your wheels any good. Wash the wheels with a degreaser, then rinse. Follow up with...

Need a strong wheel cleaner for white wheels

What are you trying to get rid of? If Wonder Wheels hasn't shifted it, it's not grime. It's likely to be iron deposits or tar, in which case IronX and Tardis are the next stages. Then claying, then polishing, then wipe down with IPA and seal. That's the proper process.

    Parked Car Under A Tree

The initial post wasn't very helpful. Toby was looking for something that would remove tree sap from already protected paint, hence looking at shampoos and Rapid Dirt Shifter/Citrus Power, i.e. wax friendly products.

Very cheap, very good Wheel cleaner!

Ah I see. It's gone back up to £6.99 now chap, but would you check for me if it's not too much fuss? I'll be up North in a few weeks so if they do have it, I'll price match at the local Halfords.

Very cheap, very good Wheel cleaner!

No it's not, it's a pH neutral wheel cleaner, but doesn't react. I'm still working on this. Out of interest, is somewhere still selling this cheap, or are you just looking to get rid chap?

Kev is the one in the know on this RyG. Follow his advice IMO.

    what wax , £50 max

BS. I've got 5 months on my lower panels. Still beads and sheets, washed once a month max. I'll reply to your text now I can see again ;)

    CQ Finest, Auto Finesse, Question/Rant.

I think it would be unfair to comment on your experience, as there are always two sides to every story. James@AF would be mortified to hear this however as by all accounts their customer service is good. Regarding wax over a nano sealant, there are reasons to and reasons not to. Look at new...

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

The washing substance is not the issue. This has come up a few times and I think it's down to something that Toby posted. Even if it wasn't, I blame him... The issue is, don't use softener as this ruins the cloths. As does machine drying.

    Good Polish/Pad combo?

Ultrafina being a 3M product. 203 and 106 being Menzerna. Kevin, I swear your posts are made when you have your eye on something else as well, lol! Read through boi, c'est trop ambigu!

    Good Polish/Pad combo?

I haven't used the AF stuff, so can't comment. 3M however are very easy to use and as said above, colour coded with the pads, so that's where my money would be going.

The Big Shiner. They're a lesser known version of AS. Basic stuff, but I'm willing to bet pretty good - they just need someone in the detailing world to take a punt and test them.

    Registration etched on headlight

I'd look elsewhere. Unlikely that the etching will be removed by polishing.

    Good Polish/Pad combo?

Menz... 203s was developed for VAG paints.

    Good Polish/Pad combo?

Menz or 3M range have been my go to. However, I've heard a lot of good things about the Scholl products, especially S17.

Very cheap, very good Wheel cleaner!

On DW, yes. I wouldn't advise it, as I don't want that hanging over me should something go wrong. But I would on my own car TBH.

    Poorboys

You need to top off Blackhole with a sealant or wax, yes. Otherwise all of the fillers will just wash away. The Natty's Blue is a very good wax. Cheap but punches well above its weight.

Very cheap, very good Wheel cleaner!

Seems a little strange when you can get decent chemical resistant ones for £5 from B&Q...!!

Very cheap, very good Wheel cleaner!

Yeah it still works well at 1:1 with water. But the main issue is the spray head supplied with the bottle. Best to empty a bottle out into a pump sprayer with a finer spray head, then top up with water.

    Auto finesse

Nothing specific, it was enquired about a few weeks ago. Only thing we can suggest is i4d 5-7.5% discount for CS users and free postage offers from PolishedBliss.

    Cheap Microfibres at Asda

Clean CD with no marks on the underside. Wipe the MF across the CD with as much force as you would use to remove wax/polish/using a QD spray. If it marks the CD finish, it will mark your paint, thus is no good. If not, it's paint "safe".

Recently? If so, I'm not up to date. I'm talking two years ago, so probably not clever to brand them all the same...
